Spatangus purpureus O.F. Müller, 1776


English: Heart sea urchin, from the Belgian continental shelf. Photographed on a dark background at the location where it was caught. The animal lived on in the aquariums of the Antwerp Zoo.
Diameter: ~8 cm
Français : Une Spatangue pourpre, venant du plateau continental belge. Photo prise sur un fond noir sur le lieu de capture. L'animal vit à présent dans le zoo d'Anvers. Diamètre : 8 cm environ.
Nederlands: Purperen zeeklit van het Belgische deel van de Noordzee. Het diertje werd na het fotograferen op een donkere achtergrond, in de aquariums van de Antwerpse Zoo gehuisvest.
