This Sarai, a halting place, was built by Khan Faroz in AD 1632 during the reign of emperor SHAHJAHAN. On the Mughal Royal Route , this was the resting place for those passangers & carvans who travelled from Delhi to Lahore and vice-versa.It is said that the Sarai was demolished, during mutiny, by Britishers for dislodging some of the mutineers and the bricks were sold for ballast for railway tracks.
