| Description | English: Female diagnose with a rare massive salivary gland mixed tumor also known as pleomorphic adenoma. After parotidectomy, microscopic findings resulted in a salivary gland with mixed tumour (pleomorphic adenoma). Parotid tumor gross of 25cm x 27cm total parotidectomy specimen. Tumor was removed completely by head and neck surgeon Dr. Ryan F. Osborne from a 71-year-old woman on 31 January 2012. The surgery took 11 hours to remove the tumor. |

Ryan F. Osborne, MD FACS is the Director of Head and Neck Surgery at the Osborne Head and Neck Institute (OHNI) and is an internationally renowned expert in head and neck oncology. Dr. Osborne has developed a special interest in the treatment of parotid gland tumors and focuses on the use of minimally-invasive techniques in the care of patients needing parotid surgery.
