Jabal el-Hussein camp is one of four camps established in Jordan after 1948 to accommodate refugees who left Palestine as a result of the 1948 Arab-Israeli war. مخيم جبل الحسين هو واحد من أربعة مخيمات تم تأسيسها في الأردن بعد عام 1948 من أجل إيواء اللاجئين الذين غادروا فلسطين نتيجة للحرب العربية الإسرائيلية عام 1948. وقد تم تأسيس المخيم في عام 1952 لإيواء 8,000 لاجئ فوق مساحة من الأرض تبلغ 0,42 كيلومتر مربع شمال غرب عمان.وكما هو الحال مع باقي المخيمات في الأردن، فإن مخيم جبل الحسين يواجه مشكلة اكتظاظ سكاني حاد، ولا توجد هناك أية مساحة لإضافة المزيد من المباني. |
