Hellboy

I have cropped the lower portion of this image so that Hellboy, the subject of the article, is in the center.

I have changed the resolution to significantly lower than the original scan, but still high enough that a reader can identify the subject matter.

It serves to distinguish Mike Mignola's illustrated Hellboy from the CGI film character Hellboy, and therefore makes a significant contribution to the user's understanding of the article. The image is placed in the infobox at the top of the article discussing the work, to show the primary visual character associated with the work, and to help the user quickly identify the work. Since this article concerns comic art, it is critical to have a sample of the art so readers know they have found what they are looking for. Use for this purpose does not compete with the purposes of the original artwork, namely to introduce the Hellboy comic book story.
