Description
English: The spire of the Cathedral Notre-Dame de Paris. Not medieval, but gothic revival opus of Viollet-le-Duc, made by Ateliers Monduit during the 19th century, in oak covered with lead, weight: 750 tons. Since 1935, the cock at the top contains a relic of the Holy-Cross, a relic of Saint Denis, and one of Saint Genevieve (patrons of the city of Paris).
Français : La flèche de la Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris. Elle n'est pas d'origine, mais a été décidée par Viollet-le-Duc lors de la grande restauration du XIXe siècle. Réalisée par les Ateliers Monduit, en chêne recouvert de plomb, elle pèse 750 tonnes. Depuis 1935, le coq qui la surmonte contient des reliques de la Sainte-Croix, ainsi que de Saint Denis et de Sainte Geneviève, qui sont les saints patrons de Paris. Source:[1]
