Summary
DescriptionFishing boat Frifararen at Vikarvet Museum 3.jpg | Svenska: Garnfiskebåten Frifararen vid Vikarvets museum, Lysekil. English: Fishing boat Frifararen at Vikarvet Museum, Lysekil, Sweden. The boat was built at Söbben on Orust in 1890. It is a one-masted Gaff-rigged sloop. The stone by the boat is part of a row running along the shoreline between the museum and Pinnevik. It is one of millions of shards of all shapes and sizes littering the Lysekil Municipality coastline; a remnant of the stone industry that dominated this part of Västra Götaland County during the 19th and 20th century. Now the stones are stacked in barriers, breakwaters, various structures or put to use in this way. Photo taken during a 20 m/s gale.
