Summary

Description
English: Animal trap. Spotted several of these about.

Crossing mainly ditches, but one over Dry Beck. The spring-loaded trap is surrounded by a wire cage to protect animals larger than its intended victim - whatever that may be. I don't think that anything larger than a weasel could fit through.

A similar trap can be seen at 421013 in the North York Moors.
