Michael Boyer is an american-born actor and artist. He is known primarily for portraying the Pied Piper of Hamelin in Germany for over 25[1] years now. The work of the Pied Piper is to represent the town, the state, and sometimes Germany itself, as was the case of the 2002 first-ever German-Chinese tourism fair in Beijing just before the freedom of international tourism for Chinese citizens. Boyer appeared at the 50th Steuben Parade 2007 in New York City, the Médiévales du Québec in 1997, and presented the story in 2015 with Lithuanian youth in Vilnius[2].

As town representative[3], the Pied Piper will greet tourists and honored guests of the town. Guided tours on the route of the legend are offered. Boyer has taken part in the open-air plays[4] that are an attraction in the summer.

His work in film and television can referenced at IMDB. He has appeared on game shows in Germany and China[5], features and series, and as a second unit member on location shooting. Boyer also produces film material to advertise the town on the internet.

Other roles are that of Goethe[6], Benjamin Franklin, or Robert Burns. Boyer is an amateur singer[7] and musician.
