The 2025 season will be the New England Patriots' 56th season in the National Football League (NFL), their 66th overall, their second under general manager Eliot Wolf and their first with a new head coach following the firing of Jerod Mayo after only one season with the team.[1] They will attempt to improve upon their 4–13 record from the previous two seasons, make the playoffs after a three-year absence, and end their five-year AFC East title drought.
