Self-admitted, disruptive sock with an unknown sockmaster. From the user's userpage: "im a proud kurdish guy from the city of kermanshahi have been blocked for more than 20 times". The IP (who was making the same types of edits until the user account was created) left this message at another user's talk page (while both the IP and the sock account were trying to revert all of that user's edits): "im gone undo any page you change arabic iq is about 40!! every time they block me im gone use my magic to kick your arabic butt", which also seems to imply prior disruptive activity on Wikipedia. A checkuser is requested because I do not know who the sockmaster is. Singularity42 (talk) 15:44, 25 March 2012 (UTC) Singularity42 (talk) 15:44, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

- I suspect this is the same user as user:Kiaxar, same city, same profession (industrial engineer), political views (anti Persian, anti-Arab, and anti-Turkish), edit type, insults in edit summaries, etc. عمرو بن كلثوم (talk) 15:53, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- I would also add IPs 2.185.112.76 and 2.185.113.226 arising from the same city, with the same opinions and articles edited. عمرو بن كلثوم (talk) 16:00, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- Agree (on sock being same on Kiaxar), and support renaming this investigation to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Kiaxar. Kiaxar had edit warred on the same types of articles, claims to have the same background, has the same editing style, is currently on a temporary block (which should be increased due to block evasion), and has evaded his block before using an IP in the same range. This seems to now be a WP:DUCK case, and my initial request for a checkuser is probably no longer required. Singularity42 (talk) 16:00, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- The user has just created another account under the name user:Kiaxar him self. عمرو بن كلثوم (talk) 16:30, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

- The master account is indeed Kiaxar (talk · contribs). Sock blocked. No comment on the IP. WilliamH (talk) 15:58, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- Now amended. That's alright, I was checking before the other comments suggested Kiaxar as a master. It's absolutely not WP:FISHING to use checkuser to find the master. WilliamH (talk) 16:05, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- Cheers, blocked, tagged, IP blocked. WilliamH (talk) 16:33, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- Given the 4 attempts at block evasion (the two IPs and the two sock accounts), should the initial one week block be increased? Singularity42 (talk) 16:49, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- Done by Magog the Ogre - the one week block was extended to two years. Singularity42 (talk) 17:19, 25 March 2012 (UTC)

These two new accounts are ducks, but more information and/or a lengthy block of its underlying IP may be useful to prevent further abuse. Mathonius (talk) 08:15, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

All three accounts are the same, but an IP block is not feasible at this time. TNXMan 14:04, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

User who is a singe purpose account apart from hounding other editors, currently blocked for a short period and suspected of circumventing block, primary article affected is List of people known as The Great. Editor does not enter into a dialogue, simple continues on a frolic on his or her own. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 08:30, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
- further probable attempts by this user to circumvent a blocke period. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 11:10, 31 March 2012 (UTC)

- Clear case of WP:DUCK. Both IPs blocked and Kermansh's block increased to a week. Salvio Let's talk about it! 12:39, 31 March 2012 (UTC)

Made same edits to List of people known as The Great and admits to being kiaxar in an edit summary. Currently under a 31 hour block. Meters (talk) 18:47, 31 March 2012 (UTC)

- See also WP:Sockpuppet investigations/Kiaxar, where a 2.185.* IP (apparent sock of Kiaxar) is carrying on the struggle on behalf of the Kurdish people. I'm a proud Kurdish guy from from the city of kermanshah i have been blocked for more than 20 times im an industrial engineer 185 cm 80 kg ,very good looking & i hate all of the semitic & turkic people. This post was made under his User:Kurdish tiger identity. (Now blocked as Kiaxar). A checkuser was run in the Kiaxar case.
- One of the 2.185 IPs listed here as a possible sock of Kermansh made this edit, to assert that King Cyaxares was Kurdish. The IP which made the edit geolocates to Kermanshah in Iran. Consider the idea of merging the Kermansh and Kiaxar cases into one single SPI. EdJohnston (talk) 15:04, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
- Kiaxar (talk · contribs) and Kermansh (talk · contribs) are a Confirmed match. No comment on the IP, who I have blocked as a WP:DUCK. Salvio Let's talk about it! 17:34, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
- Based on Salvio's finding, I went ahead and extended Kermansh's block to indefinite. (If this editor is, as he says, already blocked 20 times, for us to look forward to any reform would be optimistic). Other admins may adjust this block as they think best. similar IP range, and abuse directed at at least one editor who was involved with the Kurdish articles. Chosen not to notify this temp blocked IP editor Fiddle Faddle (talk) 13:51, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
- Note that this user seems to be getting very abusive and worked up. It may be something worth referring "above" admin level since it seems that this is not going to go away. A decision may be required for a heavyweight IP range block, not something to do lightly. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 13:56, 1 April 2012 (UTC)

- It's unfortunate that HelloAnnyong's tool is not giving any recent contribs for this range (not since March 18). Maybe it is something to do with the replication delay. It looks to me that a /16 would be too wide. When I have more time I would make a list of all the IPs that are obviously Kiaxar and try to narrow it down. EdJohnston (talk) 14:13, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
- An alternative might be 2.185.96.0/19 (block range · block log (global) · WHOIS (partial)). This is just based on the IP addresses in the archive from the /16 netblock (plus the one here), and then widening the range a bit to make it fit the subblock nicely, though. May not be entirely accurate as a result. SpitfireTally-ho! 14:19, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, 2.185.96.0/19 (block range · block log (global) · WHOIS (partial)) sounds like a good choice. How about one month? EdJohnston (talk) 15:06, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
