This appears to be an amateur soccer league that fails WP:NCORP and WP:GNG. I have looked through google for "Ascension Island Football League" and "Ascension Island Championship" and have found no significant coverage. — Ⓜ️hawk10 (talk) 05:21, 2 July 2022 (UTC)

- Comment Nice, why don't you delete Ascension Island and eradicate it's existence from wikipedia why you at it! :/ Govvy (talk) 11:25, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- Ascension Island clearly passes WP:NGEO, so I would not nominate it for deletion. There's a big difference between an island's notability and that of Ascension Island Football League, an amateur soccer league that appears to lack significant coverage. And, since it's an English language-speaking island, I really doubt that I'm missing something here. I've looked through archives of The Islander and it really doesn't give off an aura of reliability; its most recent edition, for example, looks and reads more like something an elementary school would distribute to parents than a publication by an established news organization. I've checked through the digital archives of the Saint Helena Sentinel, which seems to be better and have the trappings of a standard community newspaper. While I've learned a lot about golf and soccer on the Island of Saint Helena, I really don't see WP:SIGCOV in that newspaper of the Ascension Island Football League whatsoever when looking through those archives. — Ⓜ️hawk10 (talk) 15:43, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- Delete, no coverage in reliable sources, fails WP:GNG. SailingInABathTub (talk) 22:01, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- Redirect/merge - to Ascension Island#Football as possible search term. GiantSnowman 09:59, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- I'd be fine with a redirect. Given that the article I nominated for deletion is currently almost entirely based on statistical databases, I'd oppose a substantial merge of the two articles on the basis of this article's quality. — Ⓜ️hawk10 (talk) 20:13, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Redirect to Ascension Island#Football. I already merged some info there. There's just not enough coverage of the organization, besides games statistics, and a brief mention in an article [[1]]. TimTempleton (talk) (cont) 23:57, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
