RE:My nom for the Triple Crown
Thank you for the Barnstar and kind words. I'll certainly try not to let them get to my head. :-p Thanks again. (Guyinblack25 talk 12:51, 29 June 2009 (UTC))
Deletion of Pro's
My character files for BlazBlue have been nominated for deletion huh....I only created them because others are complaining about the none relevent info that is given on the characters section. If you think my profiles are not relevent, I listed that I got them from the Aksys Blazblue Official website and arcade modes. These ARE relavent sources which have the info I explain and support the article greatly. I planed to erase the Characters section in the article of BlazBlue to add the ones I made that have relevent info. So if my "relevent" profiles will be deleted I WILL delete the characters section (...I leave the names up) unless anyone can tell me EXACTLY where this information is coming from. (especially Ragna the Bloodege's). This is not a threat, it is to further Wikipedia's honesty. It is your own fault if taken as a threat. If you think they don't need profiles then this should be okay right?Zekami (talk) 17:05, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
Dosen't Make Sense
I don't hate you. It's okay I understand what you say. But the Bios on the article aren't relevent or don't have any referenced places to get this info. It dosen't make sense to put none relevent information on Wikipedia. I created the individual pro's to list actual true facts about the characters but if they have to be deleted so be it. I just can't keep seeing the article be damaged as I come across it every day without any sources. If you can give me or list the places I can find this info on the Blazblue article. I will stop deleting their so called Bios. but for now all thats needed is the playable characters and thier drives.Zekami (talk) 17:52, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
DK Game & Watch games
Here's the info I found about the Game & Watch games.
- Dual screen DK- 1982
- Wide screen DK Jr.- 1982
- Dual screen DK II (sequel to DK Jr.)- 1983
That's all I came across. Here's the ref. <ref name="RG-55">{{cite journal| journal = [[Retro Gamer]]| publisher = [[Imagine Publishing]]| title = Retroinspection: Game & Watch| issue = 55| page = pp.44–51| month = October| year = 2008}}</ref>
The only other place I can suggest is check out http://www.gameandwatch.com/ and see if you can use that to help searching. I found some info about some tabletop versions too. I'll add them later tonight. (Guyinblack25 talk 03:10, 1 July 2009 (UTC))
- Quick question- The tabletop versions are based on the DK and DK Jr. arcade games. Do you think they should be included the arcade sections or get their own table? (Guyinblack25 talk 03:28, 1 July 2009 (UTC))
- You know, I'm not sure. I've been looking at my Space Invaders list and am thinking about merging the LCD games to the original arcade entry. So I'm kind of on the fence on list structures. :-p Maybe a perspective from another editor would help. Sorry. (Guyinblack25 talk 04:25, 1 July 2009 (UTC))
- Yeah. That's what I was thinking, but there are some new DK games that were made for exclusively for Game & Watch (Circus, Hockey, and DK II), and one of the Space Invaders LCD games had a virtual reality version released by the same company. It's these weird little exceptions that really stump me. (Guyinblack25 talk 04:37, 1 July 2009 (UTC))

Sure I can do some copy editing. I was planning on taking care of that yesterday for the DK list, but got caught up with a non-free media issue on Music of Kingdom Hearts. I'll try to give both lists a look today. (Guyinblack25 talk 16:39, 7 July 2009 (UTC))

Zelda game list
Nomader, I noticed your work on a number of lists for prominent video game series. I did some work on List of The Legend of Zelda games a while ago, but got bogged down with other things. If you have some time in the near future, would you mind helping me push it that last bit to FL? (Guyinblack25 talk 19:10, 20 July 2009 (UTC))
- No rush at all. so take your time. I'll try to take care of the Game & Watch parts on the list and do bits here and there in the mean time. Thanks for the help. (Guyinblack25 talk 14:23, 21 July 2009 (UTC))
- Like I said, "no rush". I'm technically on a break too. :-p We'll get to it when we get to it. (Guyinblack25 talk 14:33, 23 July 2009 (UTC))
- Because {{Vgrelease}} auto sorts the regions in a particular reason, separate templates have to be used to display them in a different order. Condensing them isn't a bad idea, but we can leave it alone if we want. (Guyinblack25 talk 15:43, 3 August 2009 (UTC))

If you need some sources for the Zelda manga, check out Anime News Network. I believe the Anime and Manga Projects considers them a reliable source. (Guyinblack25 talk 14:55, 11 August 2009 (UTC))
- Found some listings of Zelda soundtracks.[1][2] Don't believe those sources meet WP:RS though. Maybe check out All Music.com for them. We use All Game as a source in articles so I assume All Music falls under their umbrella of reliability. (Guyinblack25 talk 14:59, 18 August 2009 (UTC))
- I'll see about adding some this week. (Guyinblack25 talk 16:48, 18 August 2009 (UTC))
Better late than never
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I found squat looking for sources for Moto Racer. Something substantial might show up with a more thorough review, but for now all I've got is a review by the Sydney Morning Herald to add to the reception. Send me an email if you're interested and I'll send it your way, along with anything else I find later on. --Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs (talk) 22:14, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Image in List of Kirby media
Hi there. Just a note that you should probably take a look at File:Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land.jpeg (used in the FL List of Kirby media). I'm pretty sure that it is not GFDL; more likely it is fair use. Can you take care of this? Thanks, Dabomb87 (talk) 01:40, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- I went ahead and removed the image altogether; I'm not too familiar with copyrights and images and I've made mistakes with regards to derivative works before with the Wario list so I'm in no rush to repeat the same error. I'll try to look for a free-use replacement although I can't guarantee anything– thanks for pointing out the problem. -- Nomader (Talk) 02:30, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- No problem. I happened upon the issue while perusing Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/Task force, if you're interested. Dabomb87 (talk) 02:32, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'll definitely check it out. I've always wanted to be more involved in the review process but I haven't found the time lately. Seems like FLC needs the reviewers so I might try to lend a hand in the next week or so. -- Nomader (Talk) 02:42, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- You might want to check out the video-game-related lists on there. Best to fix them up before they reached FLRC. Dabomb87 (talk) 02:43, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- We do definitely need reviewers though, especially since Truco no longer has time to help out. Dabomb87 (talk) 02:43, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, for the next few days I won't be around but I should be back soon after that and I'll try to throw out reviews and work on some lists. I'll be sure to go through them– I noticed a couple on there that I'll try to work up. Just an FYI, I'm copying this conversation over to my talk page, no need to talk in two places. -- Nomader (Talk) 02:47, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

RE:Cheers
Such kind words are certainly difficult to respond to, but a thank you is certainly in order. Thank you for your praise. I'll try to live up to it. As far as the Zelda list, you helped as best you could and that was all I asked for. So don't sell yourself short, you helped prep it before FLC with content and sources, and you helped address questions and issues at the FLC. That's welcome help in my opinion, so please share the credit. Drop me a note if you want to work on another series' game list together. I think we should at minimum have the major franchises at FL and am a little surprised the WP:VG doesn't already. (Guyinblack25 talk 14:52, 31 August 2009 (UTC))
- Very kind of you to say... again. :-p I agree that recognition is not the end goal, especially on a wiki like this: everyone does a part which culminates in a quality entry.
- No worries about having less time to edit. Real life always trumps our Wikipedia lives so do what you need to do. Wikipedia isn't going anywhere.
- Fixing up a proper Mario list would be awesome. Don't worry about any time frame, List of Space Invaders video games took me about a year of working on and off in my user space. It was very discouraging when I kept getting lost while researching. But bit by bit the list made it to FL. I'll try to peek in on your Mario draft from time to time to see if I can help it along. Nintendo task force membership update
It's that time again to update membership status with the Nintendo task force, which we try to do every 3-4 months to keep our membership up-to-date.
All participants have been placed on an "Inactive participants" list. To confirm that you're still a member of the Nintendo task force, simply go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Nintendo#Members and move your name from the "Inactive participants" list to the bottom of the "Active participants" list. If you are no longer an active member in the task force, you may simply remove your name altogether. After 1 month, on October 1, all entries under the "Inactive participants" list will be removed. Wario Land
Well, I can assure you that GS is wrong. In the original Wario Land title, Wario had a standard Mario-type health system - you get a hat, get hurt, lose it. Get hurt again, Mini Wario (similar to that of regular Mario, with a tuft of hair and no hat however), and get hurt again, you die. The sequel to the game for the Virtual Boy also uses this system, and the invincibility, while awesome, was only used in two games. I'm kinda tired so I don't want to go reference hunting, but the Wiki articles on the games should explain this well enough. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Your request for rollback
Hi Nomader/Archive 3. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. RE:Sourcing the X-Men
Any content I placed the citation on is covered by the source. So if it list of systems has a single citation, then that source listed all those systems.
Though I did discover a few flaws in the GI source. It only lists the first release year. So something like Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge was misleading because other systems releases were later. I didn't discover that until I looked for actual release dates. And I forgot which, but one or two years were incorrect in the GI issue; also discovered when searching for the full date.
Something to keep in mind I guess: to correct any system releases as we find the full dates. (Guyinblack25 talk 15:54, 14 July 2010 (UTC))

Since yours falls into that category, it'll be linked here and removed from the main page. Happy editing, Airplaneman ✈ 01:51, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks again for reviewing - I've tried to implement your suggestions in The Titan's Curse with limited success. I could not find any more reliable sources for the audiobook section, so it is still skimpy. I did, however, beef up the reception section with more non-quotes. Here's my attempt. How'd I do? I'm just worried now that the paragraph is a bit long - do you think it would be fine to remove more quotes? Thanks, Airplaneman ✈ 04:38, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm... alright, I've just looked over it. I'd get rid of the "also" in front of wrote in the first sentence-- it was part of the same review, so it's not particularly necessary, and I feel you can remove the last addition you made, the quote's just fine there on its own (... "about the allure of the main character, Percy Jackson, also citing humor and adventure as key elements to the book's popularity. They wrote"...). I didn't particularly expect any audiobook references to show themselves to be honest, they're terribly difficult to find. That you took the time to look over your article again and make the changes is commendable Airplaneman, even if they're mostly minor ones. Outstanding job. Nomader (Talk) 05:46, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Signups for next year's competition are now open. Planning is ongoing, with a key discussion about judges for next year open. Discussion about how next year's scoring will work is ongoing, and thoughts are more than welcome at Wikipedia talk:WikiCup/Scoring. Also, TonyTheTiger is compiling some information and statistics on the finalists here- the final eight are encouraged to add themselves to the list.
Our final eight will play it out for two months, after which we will know 2010's WikiCup winner, and a variety of prizes will be awarded. As ever, anything you worry may not receive the necessary attention before the end of the round (such as outstanding GA or FA nominations) is welcome at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews, and please remember to continue offering reviews yourself where possible. As always, the judges are available to contact via email, IRC or their talk pages, and general discussion about the Cup is welcome on the WikiCup talk page.If you wish to start receiving or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send.
