Paramount disambig page should be renamed Paramount (disambig)
Now that ViacomCBS has been renamed Paramount Global with the company preferring to be called Paramount, the ViacomCBS article should be renamed Paramount after the disambig page with that name be renamed Paramount (disambig). Steelbeard1 (talk) 15:31, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Steelbeard1: Consensus about such moves is taking place at Talk:ViacomCBS#Requested move 15 February 2022, which you know about. You shouldn't jump the gun. -- AxG / ✉ 15:39, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- I am referring to the disambig page, not the article for the company formerly known as ViacomCBS. Steelbeard1 (talk) 15:40, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Steelbeard1: That's what the original request is, a move from ViacomCBS to Paramount (the disambig page), users have stated that Paramount should remain as a disambig article. -- AxG / ✉ 15:43, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- What about the other Paramount Global which is a packaging company? Paramount Global the entertainment company has already stated that they wish to refer themselves as simply "Paramount." There is still no notice about renaming the disambig page. Steelbeard1 (talk) 15:45, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Steelbeard1: A user has already answered your first question at Talk:ViacomCBS#Requested move 15 February 2022, and any other changes or consensus should happen there, not here. -- AxG / ✉ 15:53, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

- If you feel strongly about it look at Wikipedia:Requested moves and request one, but as I've already said users have stated that Paramount would remain as a disambig article. -- AxG / ✉ 16:17, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

Hello.
I came here, because the person who restricted me from Logopedia two years ago (Tennisball2835) hasn't responded to me. Knowing that you are another administrator at that wiki, I read all the rules and know what to do and what not to do at that website. All ask is, may you please lift my restriction, so that I can edit Logopedia again? I learned my lesson, and I'm ready to contribute to that website again. Sponge1987 (talk) 05:31, 9 April 2022 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Electrolux 2015-2.svg
Thanks for uploading File:Electrolux 2015-2.svg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 11 April 2022 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Today logo 2013.png
Thank you for uploading File:Today logo 2013.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The article Norway in Eurovision Choir has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Needlessly duplicates content from Eurovision Choir 2019 with less context. Only one year of participation for this country and the event is canceled, so there is little opportunity for expansion of this article in the future.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message
Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}
to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 29 November 2022 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Sky1 logo 2011.svg
Thank you for uploading File:Sky1 logo 2011.svg.
Thank you.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 8 December 2022 (UTC)

Symbols of cities
I don't understand why if they is an article linked to the symbol why does it need a reference, if it were the case why not add a reference to a flag. The Derby Ram and White rose of York were linked why didn't you go through the link and find a ref from the linked article, copy and paste it in. Removing is lazy revert one explaining that you want a ref for each article and I might have done so. I'll ref Birmingham I'll really insist considering the Bullring, a bull statue and bull imagery during the commonwealth games a bull is a symbol of Birmingham.
I'm reverting each and putting it up to you. Chocolateediter (talk) 15:58, 8 May 2023 (UTC)

Repeated wikilinks in tables
Question about this revert: would it be useful to repeat those links in the table to help the readers who are interested in one specific row?
Justification: I wanted to read about the recent winner of the Eurovision, and scrolled directly to the year 2023. There was a name of the artist but no link. I did not want to read through the whole table to find out whether the artist had won before, so I had to click on the wikilink of the song, and from there find a link to the artist's page.
The Wikipedia Manual tolerates duplicate linking in tables but does not provide examples for helpful duplications and the phrasing is a bit unclear. While it is good to avoid duplicate links in consecutive rows, in our case both the duplicates have 6-11 rows in-between, so readers have to scan the full table in order to find them.
I am new in editing wikipages, would appreciate to hear your opinion and learn more about the best practices for cases like this.
