"...which stages the story ad nasuem..." is incorrect; the term is "ad nauseam." If the word is misspelled in the passage being quoted, there should be a [sic] after "nasuem." ~~Mpaniello~~
citations needed
"Hussein's rule was a repressive dictatorship[12] notorious for it's human rights abuses." You cite that he was a dictator but not that he was notorious for human rights abuses. While it may seem obvious (sic) to westerners it needs a solid citation. -thanks
I am not aware of Saddam personally torturing anyone. Ba'ath members were known to do that to political enemies but so has every Iraqi army to ever exist. Erose9210 (talk) 18:56, 5 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
A known instances of torture under his rule is appropriate. Saddam's son and heir raped at least two women, the only American woman captured during the wars was raped, and several of the male POWs were beaten and/or put through mock executions just to prove they could. But if you want to impugn on Saddam's character, you'd be better off making a section on how much forced marriages between cousins was involved (I suspect the uncle who raised him was really his father because Saddam son of Hussein had no idea who Hussein even was). i dont think that would add anything benefical, saddams wife being his cousin isnt out of the ordinary in the arab aspect, its very common, i dont think that needs a whole seciton, and sounds like its just an attempt to pock fun at him, while this wiki is meant to maintain the best netural opinion, making a whole section about cousin marriage isnt needed, Local Mandaean (talk) 08:46, 22 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
