nickname discussion

I suppose that "Bory" is a nickname for Bourguignat. But then what about "sthenia", which is Greek for "strongly"? And what does that have to do with "Jelskia", which appears to be Russian for "from Yale"? Is this perhaps a pun about the Yale lock company? I suspect that Borysthenia is derived from Borysthenes, the Graeco-Roman name for the Dnieper river and a river god. The spider genus Jelskia named by Taczanowski honours Constantin Jelski who collected it. I haven't discovered whether this is true for Bourguignat's snail genus, but it seems possible.
