Judas and the Black Messiah (soundtrack)Judas and the Black Messiah (soundtracks) – This page contains multiple soundtracks, so the disambiguator should be in the plural. -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 03:39, 22 October 2024 (UTC) This is a contested technical request (permalink). – robertsky (talk) 06:31, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Having those two albums in a single article is awkward, especially because both made the charts and received their own pro reviews. The first might be better categorized as an original film score, while the second is a more traditional "songs used in the film" type of soundtrack. If each album is notable in its own right (and they appear to be), then each should have its own article. Consider an article split instead. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 12:09, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Second the article splitting. --Cinemaniac86TalkStalk 15:10, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Comment The separate albums already have incoming redirects, Judas and the Black Messiah (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) and Judas and the Black Messiah: The Inspired Album -- which would leave what to do with the current name -- redirecting back to Judas and the Black Messiah#Music and linking to the two new articles there would be the proper solution -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 20:04, 22 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Doomsdayer520 and Cinemaniac86: one of you want to open a split discussion on the talk page? --Ahecht (TALK

It is suggested above that the article is to be split into two articles, Judas and the Black Messiah (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) and Judas and the Black Messiah: The Inspired Album, with a question on what to do with the soon-to-be redirect, Judas and the Black Messiah (soundtrack). – robertsky (talk) 06:38, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment the resultant redirect can just redirect back to Judas and the Black Messiah#Music; since that is the base article, and where both albums are already mentioned. As this article was originally split off of Judas and the Black Messiah, that would just be the status quo ante situation. -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 05:27, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • COMMENT if this isn't split, I still think the page should be renamed to use a pluralized disambiguator -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 05:29, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Split - The first album covered here (score by Isham and Harris) can be described in an article using the current title Judas and the Black Messiah (soundtrack), because the word "soundtrack" appears on its cover and that appears to be the term used in media consistently. That might simplify all the existing redirects. The second album covered here can be spun out to a new article titled Judas and the Black Messiah: The Inspired Album. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 13:47, 28 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
