re: merging of the article Manych Ship Canal into this article
Having just attempted to 'wikify' and improve the article Manych Ship Canal, I heartily agree that it should be merged into this article. Manych Ship Canal seems to be a government or oil industry document, while this article is, in most part, actually written for wikipedia. Nihola (talk) 20:26, 25 February 2011 (UTC)
merge proposal
Eurasia Canal and Manych Ship Canal have almost the same information. Perhaps Manych Ship Canal should describe what exists now and Eurasia Canal should describe the proposal. Work needs to be done by someone who knows more than I do. Benjamin Trovato (talk) 02:32, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
- Support. Merge to "Manych Ship Canal". --Insider (talk) 06:18, 5 February 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose: I don't think that the existing Manych Ship Canal should be merged into the proposed Eurasia Canal unless and until the latter comes into existence. Hence, the merge proposal is too early, and may not be warranted even in the distant future. Klbrain (talk) 15:35, 27 January 2018 (UTC)

- Closing, given the abscence of support since 2016 (and opposition since then. Klbrain (talk) 22:04, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
map needed
Can someone please add a map of the proposed route for this canal? Nicole Sharp (talk) 19:05, 1 March 2017 (UTC)
- Done, sorta. I think this is the closest approximation we have. For background see Black Sea-Caspian Steppe. Benjamin Trovato (talk) 22:54, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
