History
First browser was Netscape who had extensions: The original API was NPAPI. It was first developed for Netscape browsers, starting in 1995 with Netscape Navigator 2.0, but was subsequently adopted by other browsers. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.83.197.103 (talk) 11:22, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
