English: 080828-N-0780F-001 SOUDA BAY, Crete (Aug. 28, 2008) The amphibious command ship USS Mount Whitney (LCC/JCC 20) arrives in Souda Bay for a routine port visit. Mount Whitney is homported in Gaeta, Italy, where she recently received humanitarian aid supplies destined for the Republic of Georgia. Mount Whitney will transit to the Black Sea for the delivery of the humanitarian assistance cargo to the Republic of Georgia.
