| Description |
Hand colored by the owner of the slides. Mostly young children that went to the Model school and assisted in the training of the prospective teachers of CVSNS. Rear entrance to Old Main on the left and gymnasium (now called Stewart Hall 1893) on the right. This is a set of 46, 4x3-1/4 inch glass Lantern Slides from CVSNS (Cumberland Valley State Normal School) now called Shippensburg University. Some are hand colored and appear to be home made by a student or teacher. There are hand written descriptions and dates on some of the slides. They seem to date between 1900 and 1912. The descriptions are from information I got from the Internet. The original owner of these slides is not known and I have never been to this school. |
