Français : En 2012, les deux communes d'Estavayer-la-Lac et Font ont fusionné sous l'ancienne appellation Estavayer-le-Lac. La roue droite issue des armoiries de Font a été incorporée aux précédentes armoiries d'Estavayer-la-Lac. En 2017, les communes de Bussy, Estavayer-le-Lac, Morens, Murist, Rueyres-les-Prés, Vernay et Vuissens se sont réunies pour former la nouvelle commune d'Estavayer.
Deutsch: Im Jahr 2012 fusionierten die beiden Gemeinden Estavayer-la-Lac und Font unter dem bisherigen Namen Estavayer-le-Lac. In das bisherige Wappen von Estavayer-la-Lac wurde dabei das Sporenrädchen aus dem Wappen von Font aufgenommen. Im Jahr 2017 vereinigten sich die Gemeinden Bussy, Estavayer-le-Lac, Morens, Murist, Rueyres-les-Prés, Vernay et Vuissens zur neuen Gemeinde Estavayer.
