Yournotify is an email marketing and sms marketing platform for promotional and transactional campaigns. "Yournotify" is the trade name of its operator, Yournotify, a Nigerian company founded in 2022 by Shina Charles Memud
History
Yournotify was first launched launched in 2017 as a notification platform in Prague, Czech Republic.[1] The platform was later shut down due to challenges with growth. By June 2022, it relaunched again as a marketing platform.[2][3]
With founder Shina Charles Memud starting the company without outside funding or plans to go public, and never bringing on any outside investors thereafter, Yournotify is considered an example of a successfully bootstrapped startup coming out of Africa.
Marketing campaigns
As a marketing platform, Yournotify created and sponsored the launch of MarTech Africa, a platform with the aim of growing and educating the marketing technology community through events, podcasts, webinars and mentorship programs.[4]
In 2023, Yournotify re-strategised to offer more marketing services such as content creation and reward programs to boost customer engagement for businesses.
Transactional email
In January 2025, Yournotify introduced transactional email and sms service as an add-on feature an alternative service platform. The new feature would help businesses provide instant communication message such as OTP and verification codes to their customers.
