The 7th National Assembly of Pakistan was the legislative body elected in the 1977 general elections. It served as the lower house of the Parliament of Pakistan but had a very brief tenure from 14 March 1977 to 5 July 1977.
Background
The 7th National Assembly was formed following the controversial 1977 general elections, in which the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) led by Zulfikar Ali Bhutto won a significant majority. The opposition, led by the Pakistan National Alliance (PNA), alleged widespread electoral fraud and launched mass protests, leading to political instability.
