Naming conventions

Chieftainship naming conventions

  • In the current scope of articles on chieftainship it has become a de-facto method to write articles in the English names of the chiefs recorded under the British. The lead in states the Mizo spelling of the chieftain's name first before showing the english variation/page title. Chieftain names have many variations, British sources spell names differently over time and these should ideally be put as redirects if possible.
  • This convention can be changed with a discussion on the policy. It is this way because of common practice.
