The Wikipedia Library

This page is for collecting applications for volunteers to help coordinate various elements of The Wikipedia Library. Coordinators play a key part in the Library – they are essential to helping editors get access to sources. If you think you are a potential coordinator: please create a new section for yourself below these questions to provide your answers. Previous applications are in the archive.

Application questions

  1. How long have you been on Wikipedia, and what areas are you active in?
  2. What languages are you comfortable communicating in? Are you active on any non-English Wikipedias or other Wikimedia projects?
  3. Why do you want to volunteer with The Wikipedia Library? What role would you like to play?
Wikipedia Library Coordinators handle other editors' personal information at times; because of this all Coordinators sign a standard confidentiality agreement with the Wikimedia Foundation that includes your real name. Are you comfortable with this? If so, please continue on and tell us more about your background and interest in helping out!

  • How long have you been on Wikipedia, and what areas are you active in?
I have been on for a couple months and am most active within the musical and philosophical avenues. However, whatever I find myself studying irl is what I usually edit within Wiki.
  • What languages are you comfortable communicating in? Are you active on any non-English Wikipedias or other Wikimedia projects?
I am working proficient in Russian and am a basic communicator in Italian and German.
  • Why do you want to volunteer with The Wikipedia Library? What role would you like to play?
I would love to be involved in the Research or archival sections, as I have past and current experience in those areas. I am also incredibly flexible and would be willing to conjoin in any areas in which need a further aid to complete. I would like to participate with Wiki Library, as I have amassed a tremendous amount of knowledge about an eclectic array of information pertinent to both my actual areas of study, for which I would not have been exposed had it not been for Wiki. I would like to contribute back to the community and begin to integrate myself into the fabric of Wiki in a more tangible manner.
  • Are you comfortable with signing a standard confidentiality agreement with the Wikimedia Foundation?
