Quack the flag vandal returns. Maybe I should have to create a WP:LTA page for admins and stewards. as a guide for SZM's behavior for flag vandal. pinging Jdx 99.109.85.105 (talk) 16:48, 29 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: No need for a CU action. His account name, his contributions on Commons (already deleted by me) and actions caught by Commons' Abuse Filter clearly prove that this is sock of Szm020730. As does his only edit here. BTW. I have reported this sock on m:SRG and it has just been globally locked. BTW2. c:Category:Sockpuppets of Szm020730. --jdx Re: 18:33, 29 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • I wonder if it's necessary to set up an LTA page for this vandal. Most of their hoax additions here are by IP's, and it looks like not all admins know about the fact that those additions are actually hoax if other users report them to AIV. -★- PlyrStar93. Just a hint – if an IP messes with flags or coat of arms and it comes from Quanzhou in Fujian province in China – it's him. --jdx Re: 18:55, 29 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've actually reported a few 120.x.x.x IP's to AIV in the past (the most recent one got declined for the first time because the handling admin thought it was stale and didn't know about the vandal), and they all come from China Telecom Fujian - and looks like this has a bigger list that I can use for information. Their behaviors are actually pretty easy to recognize, so I can go ahead to create the page when I've got the time later today or tomorrow. -★- PlyrStar93. @PlyrStar93: He got any other sock accounts or IPs that make with flags or coat of arms edits on Chinese Wikipedia in the past? SA 13 Bro (talk) 20:29, 29 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@PlyrStar93: Nice LTA page! I have also updated at the master account user page. SA 13 Bro (talk) 01:38, 30 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Adds fake flags to articles, e.g Special:Diff/870471964 or Special:Diff/870376569. jdx Re: 09:32, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Vanjagenije, see below:

  • An already locked (not locally blocked) and non-stale sock is Sn 527, adding obviously hoax flags to infoboxes: 1 - adding a flag of Serbia to a town in Algeria, 2 - adding a flag of what appears to be a Russian place to a town of Peru, 3 - adding another flag of a Russian place to a town in Colombia.
  • Sm 751 has same interests in adding flags to infoboxes, also obvious hoax: 1 - flag of a place in West Virginia added to a town in Algeria, 2 - old flag of Kuomintang (Chinese Nationalist Party) added to a place in Algeria.
  • Master Szm020730 is stale, but what they did is adding flags which have now been deleted as hoax flags at commons: 1 and deleted on commons, 2 and also deleted on commons.

Let me know if anything else is needed. -★- PlyrStar93 Message me. 19:42, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Additional information needed - @PlyrStar93: In order to facilitate and expedite your request, please provide diffs to support your case. Please give two or more diffs meeting the following format:
  1. At least one diff is from the sockmaster (or an account already blocked as a confirmed sockpuppet of the sockmaster), showing the behaviour characteristic of the sockmaster.
  2. At least one diff per suspected sockpuppet, showing the suspected sockpuppet emulating the behaviour of the sockmaster given in the first diff.
  3. In situations where it is not immediately obvious from the diffs what the characteristic behaviour is, a short explanation must be provided. Around one sentence is enough for this. Vanjagenije (talk) 16:51, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not so sure about this, but the behavioral pattern is consistent; for example, he added the flag of Belarus to Russia's Central Federal District. He also added a fictitious flag on the Russia Far East article, which, interestingly, was uploaded to Commons by a blocked sockpuppet of another user.
