- The result of the discussion was delete both which is consistent with the consensus at the other discussion (because the issue was the comma not the dash) and the comments below. No need to have another full discussion on this. -- Tavix (talk) 17:47, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
- Polish-Teutonic War (1308-1309), → Teutonic takeover of Danzig (Gdańsk) (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
Previously deleted at Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2021_April_14#Frederic_Rene_Coudert,_Jr, (the issue is the trailing comma), but recreated by AnomieBot about a week later. Taking this to RFD instead of G4 so that someone smarter than me can figure out why the bot recreated this. Hog Farm Talk 20:37, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. Guessing that the bot recreated it because Polish-Teutonic War (1308–1309), (the same title with an en dash between the dates) also exists. We should delete that, too. - Eureka Lott 20:44, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
- That's correct. The bot's edit summary on Special:Diff/1019213358 says as much: "Redirecting to Polish-Teutonic War (1308–1309), because titles with en-dashes are hard to type (and resolving the double redirect to Teutonic takeover of Danzig (Gdańsk))." And yes, if you want AnomieBOT to not recreate the redirect, the way to do that is to delete the corresponding endash redirect too. Anomie⚔ 21:24, 5 September 2021 (UTC)

- Homeo → Homeomorphism (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
This seems like it would be more likely to be a misspelling of "Homo"; in the absence of a clear intended target, I think that deletion is probably the best option. signed, Rosguill talk 16:59, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
- Delete We have homeomorphism, homeostasis, homeopathy and homeobox. It appears that none is commonly abbreviated as "homeo". As a dab page for disambiguating between uncommon abbreviations would be ridiculous, the best is to delete. D.Lazard (talk) 17:41, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
- Delete: No one would ever search for this. ―Susmuffin Talk 20:12, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
- As per my Google search results, "Homeo medicine" (2,74,000 results), "Homeo doctor" (1,03,000 results), "Homeo treatment" (1,88,000), all refer to homeopathy. Jay (Talk) 19:55, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
- Delete as partial title matches at best. I'm also fine with soft retarget to its wiktionary entry since it is used as a prefix --Lenticel (talk) 01:43, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
- @D.Lazard: Just for clarification: "homeo" is not used as an abbreviation; it is commonly used as an adjective in math texts. (e.g. "This proves that the morphism is homeo.") --Puzzlet Chung (talk) 07:01, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
- Keep, or maybe retarget to Homeomorphism group, but Homeomorphism as the broader article covers that topic too. Homeo(X) is a reasonably well-established mathematical notation in the field. Examples can be found in a Google Scholar search. I would keep for this reason alone. "Homeo" as a shortening of "homeomorphism" in prose is also attested (example, from math.stackexchange.com), as PuzzletChung suggests, although it is rare. In any case, it's not just a partial title match. Adumbrativus (talk) 09:01, 6 September 2021 (UTC)

- I don't think the article does make the claim that Pace invented picante sauce, only that he called his salsa Picante Sauce, although I see how that claim can be read from the article. Elsewhere in the article it says the terms salsa and picante sauce are synonyms. In fact it is readily demonstrable that the term long predates 1947. Here is a recipe book (in German) from 1829, and a book in English from 1924. SpinningSpark 15:06, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

- Keep. It's already tagged {{R from song}}, which is exactly what that template is for, and is partially categorised. Notability is irrelevant for redirects, it only matters that there is useful info at the target - and in this case there is. Narky Blert (talk) 16:31, 6 September 2021 (UTC)

- Scott McGee → McDonald's legal cases#Discrimination (talk · links · history · stats) [ Closure: //delete ]
According to the sources cited the plaintiff's surname is Magee, not McGee. I doubt many people look for information about a lawsuit by typing the plaintiff's (misspelled) name, and I bet those who type it are much more likely to be looking for Scott McGhee or Scott McGehee. But since AFAIK we don't create dab pages where none of the links listed match the page name, and searching for "Scott McGee" reveals there are lots of (non-notable) Scott McGees out there, leaving this a red link is the best option AFAICS. Nardog (talk) 04:28, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
- Delete: We do not need to have redirects for every possible misspelling of a non-notable person's name. ―Susmuffin Talk 20:15, 5 September 2021 (UTC)
- Delete as implausible misspelling at best --Lenticel (talk) 03:54, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
- Not sure about y'all, but at least where I'm from (the Northeastern U.S.), "McGee" and "Magee" are pronounced the same way /məˈgiː/. So this isn't so much a typo as a plausible mishearing. Looking through the search results, I don't see any Scotts McGee with nearly as much coverage as Mr. Magee. (And I do see a mention at Drive-through that is actually referring to Magee... I'll fix that in a sec, but I note it further establishes this as a plausible error.) Normally I'd say "let the search results handle it", but in this case the search results won't show the current target, so I'm left in the keep camp. Do we ever do, like, hatnotes to search results? I could see a case for something like that. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 15:31, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
- But, again, there are also Scott McGhee and Scott McGehee, who have their own articles. I have to imagine more people type "Scott McGee" to learn about either of them than to learn about the lawsuit. Btw the only extant link to the redirect under discussion was a typo for McGhee. Nardog (talk) 09:43, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- Delete. Even per Tamzin's reasoning above, this does not alleviate the ambiguity between Scott Magee, Scott McGhee, and Scott McGehee. This one is best left for the search results. ✗plicit 14:05, 12 September 2021 (UTC)
