It definitely meets threshold of originality, as it is not just a simple shape, nor a simple wordmark (lettering in a font, perhaps with some basic geometrical hooey around or behind or through it). That's not the case, since the article on the artist is also the article on the album until such time as it has its own article (and it may be notable enough for one; I'm not just not one to devote much editing time to pop-culture material these days).
