• Delete. Bases of notability seem to be: 1) lost three federal elections to the House of Representatives (the winning of which would have bestowed notability, but he lost them all); 2) lost an election for the state Senate (which likely wouldn't have made him notable in itself even if won); 3) chair of the state-level party; 4) state co-chair of Kerry's presidential campaign. • Delete. People are not automatically entitled to Wikipedia articles just for having been candidates in election races they didn't win. To satisfy WP:NPOL, a person has to win the election and thereby hold office — and to get an article without satisfying NPOL, he would have to satisfy some other notability criterion for some other reason. • Comment - The "unelected politician" aspect seems like an easy call, but this was the chair of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin for four years, which makes at least for grounds for a legitimate argument for inclusion. Carrite (talk) 15:55, 5 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
