Non notable academic who fails WP:NACADEMIC has little or no coverage at all let alone in reliable sources. Fails WP:GNG Celestina007 (talk) 21:22, 22 December 2019 (UTC)

- Delete. An admirable citizen and contributor to his nation, but notability cannot be found WP:Memorial. Xxanthippe (talk) 21:35, 22 December 2019 (UTC).

- Delete An article about a non-notable educator who fails WP:GNG. It's sad that he's late now, but Wikipedia is not the place to memorialize deceased persons. NNADIGOODLUCK (Talk|Contribs) 23:08, 22 December 2019 (UTC)
- Comment I do not understand why it fails even WP:GNG. Because it passes the clauses #2, #3, #7 and #8 of WP:NACADEMIC. He is pioneer of the Nigerian cars. There are many scholarly sources about him. Sambhil32 (talk) 09:56, 23 December 2019 (UTC)
- Are you the creator of the BIO? Xxanthippe (talk) 11:16, 23 December 2019 (UTC).
- Sambhil32: Sorry but it is not clear to me which content you are relying for #2, #3, #7 and #8. Can you point me (and others) to which content and references support each of these criteria? Aoziwe (talk) 12:36, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
- The #2 states that The person has received a highly prestigious academic award or honor at a national or international level - Clement Folayan won national merit award for his works towards development in Nigeria Education.
- #3 states The person has been an elected member of a highly selective and prestigious scholarly society or association - Clement Folayan was a fellow of several national level societies[1].
- #7 states The person has had a substantial impact outside academia in their academic capacity. - He formed NADCC under Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
Are these not enough to establish notability? Thank you. Sambhil32 (talk) 20:05, 29 December 2019 (UTC)
- Merge / redirect. The subject is not without some degree of academic respect and technical achievement. While I cannot find sufficient WP:NEXIST to support WP:GNG for the subject in his own right, there is some valuable encyclopedic material potentially associated with the subject. As per policy, ie, alternatives to deletion: Sambhil32. I suggest two or three of relevent sentences should be each added to Ahmadu Bello University#Administration (which should also include faculty members, or faculty members should have their own section), briefly describing the subject's position and key achievements, Clement Olaloye Folayan should redirect to this, and added to Nigeria#Manufacturing and technology referring to the subject's work with automobile manufacturing linking back to Ahmadu Bello University#Administration, and added to Zeolite#Commercial and domestic referring to the subject's work in this area also linking back to Ahmadu Bello University#Administration.
