Apology
Hello, Seraphimblade I would like to ask for a sincere apology because mistakenly i broke the condition you asked me before Unblocking me. Actually, there were some by-elections going on and today the results were declared. I thought to make the draft for the MLAs elected. I created the Jay Prakash Toppo draft but the moment I clicked the publish button I realised that I have directly created an article. It was really unintended and I truly apologize from the bottom of my heart actually I didn't realised that I am not creating the draft and directly creating the article. Hope you would accept the apology and forgive. Regards AstuteFlicker (talk) 08:15, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- AstuteFlicker, thanks for letting me know, just please be more careful going forward. I've moved it to draft at Draft:Jay Prakash Toppo. Seraphimblade Talk to me 08:18, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- Thank You.. Can I submit it for AfC? AstuteFlicker (talk) 08:19, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- Of course. Seraphimblade Talk to me 08:19, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- One more request, could please add a AfC template to the draft. Thanks AstuteFlicker (talk) 08:26, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- I've added that to the draft. Going forward, if you should need to do that, the documentation at Template:AfC submission advises you how to add one to a draft. Seraphimblade Talk to me 08:32, 23 November 2024 (UTC)

May I be unbanned from AP2 now?
The US elections are over and I think that's what I was supposed to be prevented from disrupting. Now more obscure and less controversial (though technically covered) articles like Mike Sherstad are in need of minor tweaking and I'm powerless to help them. I'm not planning to touch anything trendy, if that makes your decision easier. InedibleHulk (talk) 06:05, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- InedibleHulk, as these were unblock/unban conditions arrived at by consensus discussion, I would not unilaterally lift them. If you believe they are no longer necessary, you can of course appeal to AN/AE/ARCA as outlined at the CTOP appeals instructions. Seraphimblade Talk to me 06:09, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- I was afraid of that, but glad you remember me; cheers! InedibleHulk (talk) 06:12, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- I have appealed. InedibleHulk (talk) 07:29, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
Gabriele Leyva (Speedy Deletion)
Hello. I wanted to ask you why did you speedy delete my article about Gabriele Leyva? It was a draft and didn't finished it yet. Went to sleep and woke up to it being deleted.
It is not written with any promoting advise or something like that at all, just wanted to write an article about him because he is very famous in the fortnite and cryptocurrency space but still haven't got a wikipedia page.
I will kindly wait for your response, thanks and have a good day! Cryptofenrir (talk) 15:15, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- Cryptofenrir, as you have been involved in writing promotional material, please first clarify whether you are being paid or otherwise compensated to edit Wikipedia, including but not limited to being asked or expected to edit as a duty of employment or internship. If so, you will need to make the required disclosures before we proceed. Seraphimblade Talk to me 22:46, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not getting paid for doing this, I wish I was....
- I didn't do any promotion of anything,, I just started writing the draft and only wrote about him and his story, I honestly don't get where the promotion is there, I didn't promote anything but talk about his journey on being a Fortnite professional player and a crypto trader.
- I will kindly await for your response, and if necessary I will make the relevant changes so that everything is in order with respect to Wikipedia's policies.
- Have a good day!! Cryptofenrir (talk) 11:17, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
- I see. Then, you'll need to keep in mind that Wikipedia articles must be written neutrally based upon facts from reliable and independent sources. If there is not a substantial quantity of reliable and independent source material available about a subject, it is not notable and there should not be an article about that subject at all. If there is, the article must stick to only facts which those sources verify, and must never be based upon personal knowledge or the like. They also must not promote the subject in any way, including via puffery or "talking up". As some examples here, but by no means an exhaustive list:
Of Italian and Cuban descent, Gabriele has earned a reputation for his sharp trading skills and strategic investments.
(puffery, also we use a formal tone, so "Levya", not "Gabriele"),Formerly a professional Fortnite player and one of the best in the world
("one of the best in the world" as confirmed by what reliable and independent source?),where his investments have allowed him to achieve substantial wealth at a very young age
(don't editorialize that the age is "very young", and "substantial" is not specific),Standing at 6'6" (195 cm), Gabriele's commanding presence reflects his larger-than-life ambitions.
(pure puffy junk), and the rest goes on and on like that. Promotional material like that is not permitted on Wikipedia. Seraphimblade Talk to me 11:23, 2 December 2024 (UTC)- Okay, I understand thank you for your advice! This is my first Wikipedia page and I want to learn how to do it properly, really appreciate it. May I get back the draft I was writing so that I can change all that mistakes I made? Cryptofenrir (talk) 14:07, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
- No, I do not restore advertisements. My advice is generally that inexperienced editors should gain experience editing existing articles for a while before they even think about trying to create a new one. Seraphimblade Talk to me 19:45, 2 December 2024 (UTC)

Interface administrator changes
- Following an RFC, the policy on restoration of adminship has been updated. All former administrators may now only regain the tools following a request at the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard within 5 years of their most recent admin action. Previously this applied only to administrators deysopped for inactivity.
- Following a request for comment, a new speedy deletion criterion, T5, has been enacted. This applies to template subpages that are no longer used.
- Technical volunteers can now register for the 2025 Wikimedia Hackathon, which will take place in Istanbul, Turkey. Application for travel and accommodation scholarships is open from November 12 to December 10, 2024.
- The arbitration case Yasuke (formerly titled Backlash to diversity and inclusion) has been closed.
- An arbitration case titled Palestine-Israel articles 5 has been opened. Evidence submissions in this case will close on 14 December.
