belated welcome
Welcome...
Hello, Lamro, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}}
on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! Foggy Morning 02:54, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
You might find Wikipedia:Footnotes especially helpful. Don't confuse References with External links! See WP:EL for guidelines on external links. The References section in each article should list all sources used for information in the article. All information should be sourced for verification. Keep in mind that Wikipedia does not usually use self-published sources -- see WP:SPS. Thanks again for your contributions! --Foggy Morning 02:54, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Edit summaries and references
As a courtesy to other editors and as a summary of your own changes to Wikipedia, please fill in the edit summary box on your GUI. Near the top of your Wiki screen is a my preferences link. If you click on this, then click on the Editing tab, you'll see that you can check a box so that you'll get a warning if you forget to add an edit summary. You should check this box. You've been editing without edit summaries for many months,[1] even though you've been asked politely to add these summaries. Please provide edit summaries with your future edits.
Also, again, please note that any information that you add to Wikipedia that cannot be verified can be deleted at any time -- especially biographical information on living people. You've already been asked to provide your sources, so I'm adding a some warning messages here...
Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Michael Lewis (author). Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Contact me if you need assistance adding references. Thank you.
Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Financial ratio. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.
Your contributions are appreciated, but it would be very helpful if you would review Wikipedia's policies and guidelines before making further edits. Thank you! --Foggy Morning (talk) 00:28, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

History of private equity and venture capital
Lamro, I recently added an article on the history of private equity and venture capital and noticed you have made a fair amount of additions on the subject. I would appreciate it if you spend some time with the article and would welcome any suggestions.
Separately, I noticed you had some issues with images. I believe it is preferable to upload new versions of an image in the same location, rather than creating a new image and switching the reference in the article. By doing so this may leave the original image orphaned. Thanks.Urbanrenewal (talk) 22:26, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Private Equity Task Force
Hi, I wanted to invite you to become an inaugural member of the Private Equity WikiProject Task Force. I think this might be a good fit and your contributions would be welcome. This is intended as an inter-project task force to focus on private equity concepts, firms and investors. If you are interested, please visit the Private Equity WikiProject Task Force project page.
Also, please feel free to add the following banner to your user page:

I look forward to working together. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi -
Either name is probably fine but now you have a ton of internal links to a redirect page. I think in general the naming convention for PE firms is not perfect but better to leave as is rather than start changing them all.

Hi Lamro
Hey man, thanks for the heads up. I'm doing OK--I finally got a permanent job, which I'm trying to adjust to. Everything else has been pretty boring. I've been trying to tidy up some of the law firm articles and law-related biographies lately, and occasionally adding new articles (when I have time). Let me know if you need help with anything else. --Eastlaw (talk) 20:22, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Orphaning my images
Lamro --
I like you and think you do very good work. One thing: you have to stop orphaning my images. You uploaded a new GTCR logo Image:Gtcr-logo.JPG to replace Image:GTCR logo.jpg which is fine. Personally, I think your new image is not as good as the original one but you created a new image and then changed the link on the page. It would be helpful if you could simply upload a new version of the image in place of the old version in the same location. This way I don't continuously get notices that my images are orphaned and have the images I contribute get deleted. This is not the first time and I just wanted to bring it to your attention since I wasn't sure you were aware. Otherwise, I do really appreciate all of the work you are doing on PE these days it is really very helpful.|► ϋ r b a n я e n e w a l ◄| (talk) 13:22, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

Highland Capital Partners
Lamro,
I went through and fixed up your Highland Capital Partners and took off the speedy delete tag. That would not have been my first choice of venture firms to add but definitely notable. If you are pressed for ideas there is a whole list on the project page for the Private Equity Task Force. At least you should add the firm to the project page and add the {{PrivateEquity (project)}} tag to the talk page you are creating. To the average wikipedia deletionist a venture capital firm is an easy speedy delete candidate because they don't know how to distinguish.
When you have some time, will you add some more good references. There are a few out there. And I would always be grateful if you add some stubs from the list.

Recent additions
Lamro --
With respect to some of the additions you made, I thought they might be better addressed by adding to or linking to existing articles rather than creating so many additional articles.
- Direct investment fund - If you are talking about a co-investment fund why don't you add this to Equity co-investment. Plus I wouldn't based an entire article on Fort Washington which is a small FoF in the midwest. In fact, I was going to work on the Equity co-investment article fairly soon so if you want to spruce that up it would be appreciated
- Executive stock option - This is pretty well covered in a number of articles aready under Employee stock option. I am not sure what else you want to add on that
- Principal investment - This should probably just be a redirect to Proprietary trading unless I am missing something. In any event this is rarely private equity and more often a hedge fund type investment platform.

Hello, Fellow de-orphaner!
I noticed you added your name to the list of participants in WikiProject Orphanage. We really appreciate your help! The first things you could do to get started with us are:
- Read the Wikipedia:WikiProject Orphanage page, especially the section marked "Criteria". The page contains a lot of good advice to get you started, as well as the standard procedures we are using to de-orphan articles.
- Look at {{orphan}},{{do-attempt}}, and {{articleissues}} closely and make sure you know how to use them correctly. (It's not difficult, but it is easy to screw up. Trust me, I have.)
- Keep de-orphaning! Category:Orphaned articles contains all orphaned articles organized by month. Right now we're just trying to keep up with all the new orphans being created, so please start with the current monthly category. Once those are cleared out, we can start working on the backlog in reverse-chronological order.
- Of course, you may have already known all of this, in which case sorry for the spam. Either way, let me know if there's any way I can help you contribute more to the project!--Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 13:26, 17 August 2008 (UTC)

Dates in maintenance tags
Just a friendly note about this edit to Co-shoring. When you add a new maintenance tag to an article, as you did with the {{deadend}} tag, you should use the current month even if the article has needed the tag for a while. This helps people work on the articles that have been tagged the longest, and avoids putting articles into maintenance categories that have been cleaned out and are ready for deletion. Thanks!--Fabrictramp | talk to me 21:17, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

WP:O Article counts
Hi, Lamro, I reverted your addition of your de-orphan count to the WP:O page. I don't think that having that sort of statistic there is helpful. JD/MBA
Don't be frustrated. I don't think there is a good precedent for making that page the home for a list of people who had earned the degree. After all what is the basis for inclusion? As you could see it was becoming a dumping ground for all kinds of people (most not even close to notable). The list is still on the talk page for your reference. WP:Hornbook -- a new WP:Law task force for the J.D. curriculum
Hi Lamro,
I'm asking Wikipedians who are interested in United States legal articles to take a look at WP:Hornbook, the new "JD curriculum task force".
Our mission is to assimilate into Wikipedia all the insights of an American law school education, by reducing hornbooks to footnotes.
- Each casebook will have a subpage.
- Over the course of a semester, each subpage will shift its focus to track the unfolding curriculum(s) for classes using that casebook around the country.
- It will also feature an extensive, hyperlinked "index" or "outline" to that casebook, pointing to pages, headers, or {{anchors}} in Wikipedia (example).
- Individual law schools can freely adapt our casebook outlines to the idiosyncratic curriculum devised by each individual professor.
- I'm encouraging law students around the country to create local chapters of the club I'm starting at my own law school, "Student WP:Hornbook Editors". Using WP:Hornbook as our headquarters, we're hoping to create a study group so inclusive that nobody will dare not join.
What you can do now:
- 1. Add WP:Hornbook to your watchlist, {{User Hornbook}} to your userpage, and ~~~~ to Wikipedia:Hornbook/participants.
- 2. If you're a law student,
- Email http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WP:Hornbook to your classmates, and tell them to do the same.
- Contact me directly via talk page or email about coordinating a chapter of "Student WP:Hornbook Editors" at your own school.
- (You don't have to start the club, or even be involved in it; just help direct me to someone who might.)
- 3. Introduce yourself to me. Law editors on Wikipedia are a scarce commodity. Do knock on my talk page if there's an article you'd like help on.

Compound template
Hi there
Thanks for your hard work adding these compounds. Are you adding all compounds in a certain category into the template, or is this a representative selection? Also, some compounds are quite unrecognizable when condensed into a simple molecular formula. For example, tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(0). The compound name might be more appropriate. --Rifleman 82 (talk) 22:04, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

The article Eric Sprott has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Notability not established, doesn't appear to be anyone other than a investment manager. Sounds more like a CV
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RxS (talk) 21:03, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Nomination of Eric Sprott for deletion
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Eric Sprott is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Eric Sprott until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on good quality evidence, and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. The Resident Anthropologist (talk)•(contribs) 00:51, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Request for PEGCC draft review
Hi Lamro, I'm reaching out to you because of your involvement with WikiProject Private Equity; I'd like to bring your attention to a relevant discussion I'm trying to get started at WikiProject Cooperation. As a wikiproject, WP:CO-OP is new: a joint effort between volunteer Wikipedians and COI editors, aiming to keep input from PR types above-board. In this role I'm in the latter camp, and this is why I'm here: I've researched and written a proposed expansion of the article about the Private Equity Growth Capital Council (PEGCC). I've done so on their behalf, and with their input, however I've also worked hard to make sure my draft follows Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. But I'm not a disinterested party, and others at WP:CO-OP don't know a great deal about private equity. If you would be willing to review the draft and give your feedback on the WP:CO-OP discussion, I'd appreciate it. In case you are busy, I've reached out to one other editor from Private Equity, but all are welcome. Cheers, WWB Too (talk) 17:47, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

Security Market Line & Negative Beta
I corrected the following passage that you added to the Security Market Line page, which was uncited and just plain wrong: "There is a question what the SML is when beta is negative. A rational investor should reject all the assets yielding sub-risk-free returns, so beta-negative returns have to be higher than the risk-free rate. Therefore, the SML should be V-shaped." I gave a citation to a textbook, which explains that negative betas will cause returns below risk-free, which are perfectly acceptable to rational investors. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alan Davies (talk • contribs) 08:30, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

X-Files images
I (along with Grapple X) have explained the situation to you before. Images must be critically examined in the article themselves. If they are being uploaded just to decorate an article, then they will inevitably be deleted. If they are decorative images, they will fail WP:NFCCP, most likely #8. Here's a good example: the image for "Closure" works because the filming of the scene is illustrated in the article, and thus the inclusion of the image aids the readers understanding. However, the image you uploaded for "4-D" is just an image of two people standing there. Nothing about it is discussed *critically* in the article (if the production of the scene was weird or interesting, or it included a lot of make-up that was praised/critiqued by reviews, then it would be OK to add). I'm not doing this to be mean. :) It's just Wiki policy, and a bunch of these images (like the "4-D" image that you uploaded) were deleted long ago.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 18:13, 11 December 2013 (UTC)

if you notice in my "linda" profile - i have pictures of michael jackson but it's just for spacing purposes. i have magazine articles. i have another profile called "Maxxmusicfan" on which i'm developing the maxx (band) pages. it's coming! if you could do "i can make you feel like" , "Move Your Body", & "Bravo Dance X-Mas" and Linda's "Rhythm of Love" signle- that would be good. there's no rush... i think we can work together to make this happen. thanks so much!! new Maxx singles to add to wikipedia and revisions for Maxx singles pages
Hi Larmo its Elysegrogerfan. you were helping me with Maxx. please i need your help again. i have another account called Maxxmusifan where i'm creating a draft for Maxx (band)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Maxxmusicfan/sandbox it's very detailed and i make reference to other singles produced by the maxx producers and it tells the story of Maxx in great detail and i'm compiling my links and sources. But its just a draft. i use fake pictures to help me with spacing things. But I need your help again.
can you add these two titles below to wikipedia for me? i have created sources for you to make it easier. it's for "Move Your Body" and "Ich Bin Der Farmer" - i even created a summary for you to use.
ALSO FOR THE MAXX SINGLES you updated for
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Get-A-Way
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_More_(I_Can%27t_Stand_It)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You_Can_Get_It
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Can_Make_You_Feel_Like
I like the changes you made. we will soon make more modifications and add more detail to this. to the background. but the PRODUCER part of the singles pages needs to be changes. You made the producer ‘the movement’ and it links to Olaf Jeglitza “Ojay” of real mcoy. Ojay is not "The Movement" This is a big mistake. Can you change this for me please? Just make ‘the movement’ not link to his page leave the text but take out the linking to "O-Jay". He’s not the producer of maxx. it's an error
here are the new additions i need you to make to wikipedia for me.
Ich bin der farmer (reggae cover single)
Ich Bin Der Farmer is a humorous German language cover version of Snow's raggae hit "Informer." [1] The single was performed by German rapper Boris Köhler (aka Bozo Der Boss)[2] and written/produced by musician Bruce Hammond Earlam and co-producerd by Jürgen Wind (aka George Torpey) and Frank Hassas (aka Quixmix) [3]. The single was released/distributed by Hansa Records in Germany in 1993 [4][5][6]. Because the single was commercially successfully, preliminary plans were made for Köhler to do more Bozo Der Boss singles, but music executive (David Brunner) halted these plans and reserved Köhler as rapper and frontman for the dance music duo act known as Maxx [7]. Kohler went on to have success in Europe with Maxx from 1993 to 1995 under his Maxx alias Gary Bokoe (aka Gary B.)

Move Your Body (Maxx Song)
Move Your Body is a ragga inspired rap single by the Eurodance/Dancepop duo known as Maxx [1].It was released as a non-album single in November 1995 via Intercord as the fifth and final single from the duo. The single was not a commercial success and only charted at No. 16 in Finland and No.18 in Austria in 1995. [1][2]

Uvitonic acid
Now that is a pretty obscure compound! According to chemical abstracts, a total 14 articles mention it. Nothing wrong in my book with obscure stuff, but probably is not notable enough to link in very extensively. IMHO. --Smokefoot (talk) 14:15, 22 November 2016 (UTC)

Album dating and chronologies
Newark 1953 should not be in Category:1953 albums because it was recorded then but in the year it was actually released. Similarly, in the artist's chronology in the infobox, it shouldn't come first but in the order it was released. ―Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 19:37, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
Help with article review?
Hi,
I've you belong to the Wikipedia Private Equity task force and have worked on articles on this subject. I've written a draft article about a prominent VC, User:BC1278/sandbox/Mo_Koyfmanand I wonder if you might have time to review it? I am an experienced Wikipedia editor, and have created many articles, but I have a COI here as a paid consultant to the subject. So, as per WP: COI, all my work must be reviewed and brought live by an independent editor.
I am more than willing to do as much additional work on the draft as you think is required.
Thanks for considering this request!

- Seems fine to me. But you have to be very careful with details since your article is about a living person.

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Articles about jazz albums
I've been passing this around. I hope it helps. Some notes on articles about albums.
Infobox:
- Omit "in" before the place the album was recorded
- "Recorded" is for a date (April 1, 2000)
- "Studio" is for the name of studio, with a city next to it (Abbey Road Studios, London)
- "Venue" is for the name of a venue, with a city next to it (O2 Arena, London)
- Omit "Records" or "Music" and pipe the label. (Decca American release is preferred.
- Every album has either a studio where it was recorded or a live venue. After filling in one, delete the other rather than leave it blank.
- If you aren't using the Alt field, delete it
- Omit catalog numbers
- Omit space before and after slash mark.
- You can line up the equals signs, but it's not a rule. I think infoboxes are easier to read when they are lined up.
- Avoid the use of ALL CAPS in nearly all instances. On the internet ALL CAPS means SHOUTING.
Lede:
- Don't count albums. Don't list the album count of the musician. Don't write "the fourth album by" even if you are certain.
- Albums are released by labels, not "through" labels or "via" labels or "on" labels. For the most part, musicians don't release albums. Labels do. Musicians record albums. Labels release albums.
- It's not "on the Columbia label" or "through the Columbia label". "Columbia" is sufficient.
Sources:
- Don't use Discogs.com or Amazon.com as sources. Click on my name for more information about this subject or read the relevant Wikipedia documentation.
Personnel:
- "Personnel" in the header, not "credits"
- Any information you use has to be sourced. This goes for everything you add to Wikipedia. Everything. Don't add unsourced information.
- Don't mimic the formats in the credits sections of AllMusic and Discogs.com
- Don't enter track specific information for musicians, like "track 7" or "1,2,3" like Discogs.com. You can't use Discogs.com as a source.
- Don't enter "photographer" "composer" "arranger" like AllMusic. The musicians are the main thing. If you want to enter production information, do it in a separate section.
- All you need to enter is name first, en dash, instruments lowercased, not bracketed, commas between instruments, no periods, no parentheses with track numbers
- Sort instruments by: leader first, brass, woodwind, keyboards, strings, bass, drums, percussion, vocals, backing vocals; within each (more than one trumpeter, for example) sort by last name
- En dash is formed with the option key and the hyphen key (on most keyboards, option to the left of space bar, hyphen to the left of plus sign)
- Em dash is formed with the option key to the right of the space bar, while holding shift (directly above it) and they hyphen key. A three-key press.
- Make sure you know when to use the hyphen and when to use the en dash or em dash.
- On Wikipedia, the en dash gets used a lot, so you might as well learn it.
One more thing:
- Always keep the reader in mind. Always keep your audience in mind. The reader doesn't know what you know. The reader is different from you. Don't write to please yourself. Write for the common reader. Readers don't always like what you like. Readers don't always think the way you think.

Generic titles
You've been repeating the same error for years. Are you aware of this? You've been using the Financial Times as a source, and that's dicey to begin with because 1) it's not really a music source, 2) it's behind a paywall, and 3) whenever you use it, you've been using the title "Subscribe to read | Financial Times" for every article, thus creating the red-link error "Cite uses generic title". This week's cleanup listing has the following, but I have corrected more than this. Any idea how far back the list goes? would you fix them?
- 8: Kindred Spirits (Live from the Lobero)
- Diaspora (Christian Scott album)
- Laid Black
- Octopus (Kris Davis and Craig Taborn album)
- Push (Jacky Terrasson album)

Financial Times and red-link errors
Hi,
FT is a legitimate source of music reviews with professional writers. Not all of their ratings are behind the paywall. Many are free and widely used in the wiki.
I'll check the articles you have mentioned.
Cheerz! Lamro (talk) 13:04, 26 January 2021 (UTC)
- I won't say "Don't use it" because I doubt I'm allowed to, but a scrupulous person would attempt to do better. Financial Times certainly is behind a paywall. I just tried it. I was able to read one article before being confronted by the "You must subscribe" message. I'm not commenting on the quality of the paper or your reading habits. I'm merely stating a fact: If it's behind a paywall, you are effectively shutting out readers, and that's not something we encourage at Wikipedia—because the encyclopedia is for them, not what we like to read. Second, it's not difficult to fix those errors you've been making, but it's time consuming, and you would know better than I how many more there are.

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Cruel and Unusual Films - logo.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Cruel and Unusual Films - logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

Hello, Lamro
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Graeme Bartlett, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Phenylcobalt, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to contest the deletion:
- Remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- Click the button.
If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Graeme Bartlett}}
. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Replaceable fair use File:James B. Donovan.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:James B. Donovan.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 07:34, 25 July 2021 (UTC)

Rhombic crystal system
Hi I noticed for PuSi you said this is in the rhombic crystal system with space group Pnma. that space group is orthorhombic crystal system. In English rhombic crystal system means something quite different. I have noticed that translations from Russian articles sometimes make that mistake. Are you a native Russian writer doing the same thing? Anyway I have changed it for PuSi, but watch out for future articles if you want to say "rhombic", the chances are it is wrong and instead you should make a choice between orthorhombic and hexagonal. Also for the ferromagnetic transition, is it ferromagnetic above or below that temperature? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 10:34, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
- Moreover: when you created Dibutylmagnesium, you appear to have translated the initial page contents from German. The only reason I could tell (before comparing de:Dibutylmagnesium) is because you left in the abbrevation "u. a.", which is German for et al. It's fantastic that you're copying missing content into our English Wikipedia, but when copying content (translated or not) from one Wikipedia page to another, you must include attribution to the copied-from page. Anything else is a copyright violation, and consequently risks speedy deletion (although that isn't terribly likely to occur).
- tl;dr: Please read WP:TFOLWP and include those sorts of attributions in the future. Thanks, Bernanke's Crossbow (talk) 22:30, 10 July 2023 (UTC)

Notability of articles you create
Hi. I'm very concerned about the notability of articles you have created and edited over the last few months, and seemingly even before that. it seems in June and July of this year, you created articles for a number of Lenny Kravitz singles that did not yet have articles, and for some of these, there was a good reason for them not having articles. I understand you've been around for a number of years and have edited extensively in a number of areas, but you seem unconcerned with the notability of articles you have created. Please review WP:NSONGS: "Coverage of a song in the context of an album review does not establish notability." (emphasis added) A lot of the Kravitz articles you created did not have substantial independent coverage of the song. They were mentioned in the context of an album review, which does not prove notability of a song nor why it needs an article of its own. Some of these songs did not chart, or achieved low peaks on Dutch or American airplay charts, which is insubstantial enough content for an article.
I also looked at several other articles you have worked on, and this extends to them as well. A Sash! promotional single that charted nowhere, a late-stage Nelly Furtado single that did not chart, and Tanita Tikaram songs that didn't chart or get much attention outside of the context of the albums they were from. Look, it is nice that you're evidently a fan of these artists. I like Lenny Kravitz too—I've even started an article for a song of his before. But these singles that were released late in his albums' release cycles or the insubstantial songs from the most recent few years of his career did not need articles made for them. They didn't chart and they only have passing mentions in sources. It seems you even had to dig into sources in other languages to try to find mentions of the songs, and some of them are dubious blogs. Several other things to bear in mind in future when creating articles:
- Please don't cite Songfacts for anything. It is an entirely user-generated source like Wikipedia, so is not reliable and fails WP:USERG.
- A CD single, a download or a stream listing that has one track is not substantial enough to warrant its own "Track listing" section. One item is not a track listing, and experienced music editors have seemingly all agreed over the years, without it being in writing, that these should be removed.
- If you've linked a music video using the external music video template in the infobox misc= parameter, you should not also provide this link in the "External links" section per WP:EL.
- Website addresses like "hitparade.ch" should not be in publisher=. Per WP:CS1 they should be in website=.
- If an artist is American, please either use mdy dates in the citations you have added, or at least put Template:Use mdy dates at the top of the article so the dates display in mdy format.
- When parameters in Template:Infobox song or Template:Infobox album have more than one item, please list them using an asterisk with each entry on a new line (per the templates' documentation). Use of commas or line breaks to separate items has been largely phased out and frowned upon as it can create obstacles for visually impaired readers.
- Per MOS:SMALL, please do not use small text in infoboxes for any reason. As the font size of infoboxes is already below 100%, using small text in them takes them below 85% font size, which should never be done and is a problem for visually impaired readers.
- Per WP:RSP, do not use Medium.com. It is a blog-hosting service and its contributors are not music critics. Likewise, student newspapers a la The Diamondback or anything that says "the student newspaper of x". You have cited these before. College students are not music critics.
- All (wiki)tables (including track listings) should have captions now per MOS:TABLECAPTION, which is part of Wikimedia's policy on WP:ACCESSIBILITY (a guideline at Wikipedia locally).
- I'm also a little concerned about your cavalier addition of unsourced genres. Unless a source explicitly refers to a song as a genre, we should not put anything in genre=. This includes labelling a song by an artist well known for making music in a certain genre that genre.
Thanks. Ss112 05:46, 24 October 2021 (UTC)
- Please stop removing maintenance templates from articles that have been tagged. I don't believe you can be objective in assessing the notability of articles you've created, so please leave it to another editor to assess them. You didn't fix the issues on either article that I tagged. You added a BroadwayWorld citation on The Rotterdam Session. BroadwayWorld is a press release website, everybody knows this. You also copied 900 bytes worth of URL junk in the url= param, which was strange. The article remains questionable. As I pointed out to you above, WP:NSONGS states album reviews do not contribute to a song's notability, so adding that and the insubstantial AllMusic entry on Ride (Lenny Kravitz song) did absolutely not fix the notability issues there. Most songs released by a popular artist in the Western world have AllMusic entries. I don't know how you think this contributes to its notability. Ss112 10:27, 27 October 2021 (UTC)

Your contributed article, Await Further Instructions (2018 film)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Await Further Instructions (2018 film). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Await Further Instructions. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Await Further Instructions. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Fram (talk) 11:32, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

Request for Edits
Hi Lamro. I disclosed a conflict of interest with Hillhouse Capital Group and proposed some changes (see the bottom of Talk:Hillhouse Capital Group). I saw that you were interested in venture capital topics (the page is about an investment group) and was hoping you might be willing to review my proposed changes. I've been having a hard time finding an impartial editor to spend time to review my proposed changes, but I think I was asking for too many edits at once, so I trimmed it down to just three small items. Any help would be appreciated. Phil2600 (talk) 00:37, 13 January 2023 (UTC)

The article Selenium iodide has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Little to no evidence of the existence of this compound is given, and the sources cited is unsuitable; all of them not isolating the compound, unlike disulfur diiodide, in which there is plenty of spectroscopic evidence and isolation. The only evidence of existence is in carbon disulfide. The article is also poorly written.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Keres🌕Luna edits! 18:43, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
"Appearance" for something that doesn't exist
It seems unusual to add so many visual-appearance details for chemicals that WP:RS say have never actually been made. Please be careful with that sort of content. DMacks (talk) 13:27, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
Slow down please
Nearly every page you have created lately has syntax errors in the chembox (mis-spelled field-names). Maybe you are cut'n'pasting from an outdated skeleton, or somehow else propagating typos? Category:Pages using Chembox with unknown parameters currently has 29 entries, (almost) all of which are your doing. Several other editors have noticed you are mixing up what the chemical itself is on some pages. Again, that suggests cut'n'pasting and aiming for speed rather than accuracy. Please slow down and double-check your work. DMacks (talk) 22:51, 11 April 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, I guess I need to slow down. Pls review my recent articles as mistakes are possible. Lamro (talk) 07:51, 12 April 2023 (UTC)
- I see there was something you called Molar_mass. The chembox will workout the molecular weight by itself from the element numbers, so just leave that wrong parameter out. If you use preview before saving, you might see the error message. I also want to thank you for using chem2, which has the advantage of being copy and pastable, searchable and indexed correctly (unlike chem template or chem tag). Any chance you would stop using "books" published by PediaPress, as you did at Sodium astatide, Radium oxide, Radium nitride, and Radium iodide? These are clearly copied Wikipedia articles - the "author" of the book is given as "Wikipedians". Thanks. Sam Kuru (talk) 15:18, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
Bad source
Please do not use guidechem as a source. It is unreliable (factual problems) and merely scrapes from other sites without citing them. It will be blacklisted on all of Wikipedia soon. DMacks (talk) 18:03, 9 July 2023 (UTC)
Iodocyclopropane
Hi, Lamro. I noticed that you added iodocyclopropane to {{iodine compounds}} under "Iodine(I)".
If this is correct, then the iodine substituent should be considered to have a formal charge of +1 and the cyclopropyl group a formal charge of -1. Is there a source indicating as much? I would be very surprised if this is the correct way to assign formal charges in the compound.
Thanks, Bernanke's Crossbow (talk) 23:15, 9 July 2023 (UTC)
Hello, Lamro
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Graeme Bartlett, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Oxygen trifluoride, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to contest the deletion:
- Remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- Click the button.
If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Graeme Bartlett}}
. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Invitation to join New pages patrol
Hello Lamro!
- The New Pages Patrol is currently struggling to keep up with the influx of new articles needing review. We could use a few extra hands to help.
- We think that someone with your activity and experience is very likely to meet the guidelines for granting.
- Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time, but it requires a strong understanding of Wikipedia’s CSD policy and notability guidelines.
- Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision, and feel free to post on the project talk page with questions.
- If patrolling new pages is something you'd be willing to help out with, please consider applying here.
Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see you around!

The article Gold phosphide has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No reliable existence of existence and no justification as to why it is notable.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Keres🌕Luna edits! 15:53, 7 April 2024 (UTC)

Materials Project
Hi Lamro, you used Materials Project for structure and density. This is not suitable as it is a computational only project and not based on a measurement or experiment. However you already referenced other sources that covered that info. Another unsuitable source is American Elements as we can't tell where there info came from. Thanks for continuing to improve. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Gladiator- Special Anniversary Edition.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Gladiator- Special Anniversary Edition.jpg.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 11:05, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
