Redundant parameters
I think the idea is that the |class=disambig
could be removed from this page as it is redundant — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 19:23, 27 November 2024 (UTC)
|class=disambig
is not `standard_grades`, so it will not handle by the bot. Maybe should use `remove_unnecessary_parameters`. Kanashimi (talk) 23:47, 27 November 2024 (UTC)- It already is. Can you take a look and see why it isn't working? Also, could you handle uppercase and lowercase in the code so the entries at
remove_unnecessary_parameters
can be made more clear? Gonnym (talk) 09:39, 1 December 2024 (UTC)- I've changed the parsing method so that it now works with
/pattern/i
. Kanashimi (talk) 01:00, 2 December 2024 (UTC)- I just converted all rules to the case-insensitive format. Hopefully nothing changes (though I did fix an unbalanced bracket). ~ Tom.Reding (talk ⋅dgaf) 16:02, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- It looks fine. Kanashimi (talk) 22:50, 7 December 2024 (UTC)

Does the bot have a limit of pages it can fix?
Did you limit the amount of WikiProject banner shell-related pages the bot can fix per day? It seems to arbitrary stop each day after a relative low amount of pages fixed. Gonnym (talk) 06:37, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- PIQA tasks are performed once per week, unlike VA. Kanashimi (talk) 09:11, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- I wasn't talking about the frequency of the task, but about the duration of it while it's going. The task itself for the past week or so has always stopped mid-task after around a 3k pages. See for example the edit from 22:47, 11 December 2024, which was the last edit it did for the "redundant class" category. It was basically at the start. Gonnym (talk) 11:00, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
- There is no limit to the number of pages that can be edited. It seems to end normally. Have you found a page that should be edited but isn't? Kanashimi (talk) 12:46, 12 December 2024 (UTC)

, if it ends in the letter "A", then it doesn't end normally.Have you found a page that should be edited but isn't?
Yes, all of them. Category:WikiProject banners with redundant class parameter has currently over 30k. It had over 20k when the bot last edited (and the bot didn't get the number down to zero), and again, this is happening each run of the bot. It didn't empty Category:WikiProject banners without banner shells either, though those pages might have been added during the run so I can't be sure. Gonnym (talk) 13:33, 12 December 2024 (UTC)
