User talk:Dr. Blofeld

You created this unreferenced stub in 2006, and it's been tagged as unsourced for over 15 years. I did a Google search and found less than a dozen hits, none of which are reliable and some that appear to be AI generated. I wanted to reach out to you before I propose it for deletion. If you can please find and add sources, that would be great. Thank you for doing your part to cut into the 16-year, 69,000-article backlog of unsourced pages. Bearian (talk) 04:35, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I searched under the Khmer title and it is both a district and commune, here's the Khmer wiki article here. Certainly notable, but I would imagine sourcing is still poor for that neck of the woods. I've redirected to the district given that there doesn't seem to be much detail about it. I'll assume you were just thanking me in advance for it, but I read your message initially as an attack on me being responsible for that big backlog! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:51, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Can you help with Horst Janson (actor), perhaps? Refs needed, for work and facts, more facts needed, lead too short ... - tired now, and travel tomorrow. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:15, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Interview for inspiration, could become ref. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:21, 1 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Ah the ship's captain in Shout at the Devil, also remember him in Murphy's War, yes I'll look later. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 11:07, 2 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, Der Bastian, - thank you. At the airport, before long flight. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:03, 2 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I looked and referenced some films. - Your chance to expand Unter weißen Segeln - a stub you started in 2011 ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:25, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. You will have seen that I reduced the long list. Haven't seen any "reliable" ref for Kronos (just Amazon and images), - do you have one? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:50, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
We did it! - Next with a poor article in English: Max Schautzer. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:28, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Great! Unfortunately there's a lot of TV films which won't have much coverage beyond imdb and German databases and the article would likely read as a "in ×××× he starred in xxxx alongside xxxx" if fully expanded. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:59, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Understand. I leave Schautzer to you. Popular in German - long-running popular series - but probably not as much outside. Would be last day today to nominate for RD, but just a bit of expansion would do him more justice than the tabloid private stuff dominating the only obits we have so far. I'll travel today and tomorrow. Today, I met the article of Paul Plishka who had not a single opera linked, imagine! The colleagues still have no links, because I'm off now. May continue if there's a connection on the train. Will see the piece in my story tonight! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:11, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
"a presenter, who presented" - I tried to avoid that. "hosted" perhaps? ... anything else? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:32, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hosted sounds right. "Stood for" makes it sound like it is about politics, doesn't make sense in that context. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:51, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Janson on Alfredissimo two of my subjects cooking together ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:40, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Amazed that he ate, so skinny, reminds me of Peter O' Toole! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:52, 5 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Agree ;) - Helga de Alvear, a woman born in Germany and went to Spain, collected more than 3000 pieces of art by more than 500 mostly living artists and built them a house (or rather 2 houses) in Cáceres, - something for you. Would you have time to write at least a stub of the museum? There are articles in German, Spanish and more. A tour in the video of my story. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:44, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Helga de Alvear? I'll look tomorrow. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:18, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but you could also use the English name. (I couldn't because it's a redirect, and wouldn't show red.) She may be off the Main page tomorrow, - circulation is fast these days. She is now in position 5. Perhaps we can make the museum long enough for DYK, - it looks interesting. I'll look into it also, but have three recent death articles waiting. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:00, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
She's still on. I find today's birthday child particularly inspiring, by enthusiasm and determination. That was - believe it or not - a pictured DYK in 2021, without the last line though. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:55, 9 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Paul Plishka, a bass who sang 88 roles of all kinds at the Met was interviewed before his (first) retirement. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:46, 10 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Today I worked on a singer who was compared to Audrey Hepburn, and I thought of you. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:40, 12 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Today's story is about Edith Mathis, who portrayed young women by Mozart. The video of a 1993 interview has videos of her performances. - I saw my brother on stage, - see places. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:32, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Look at places also for Valentine's food and flowers ;) - with a story, and more music there --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:59, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
