Kinder High School moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to Kinder High School. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Jeraxmoira🐉 (talk) 05:20, 5 January 2024 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Patient Zero. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Northside High School (Lafayette, Louisiana)—because it did not appear constructive. Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. A page you created or have recently made significant changes to, Basile High School, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for pages, so it has been blanked and redirected. Three typical reasons for this are that: (1) the article's subject appears to fail our notability guidelines; (2) the article is unsourced; or (3) the sources used in the article are unreliable. The page's history is preserved and it is possible to restore the article: If you believe that this page should remain included on Wikipedia or that this action was taken in error, then you may revert the edit that blanked and redirected the page.
Wikipedia:Your first article has more information about creating articles, and you may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. voorts (talk/contributions) 21:40, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Voorts Almost every high school in the country has a Wikipedia page. Not sure why this one in particular is less notable than any other. The article has sources. They are from the local newspaper in the town where the school is located. You're going to have to be way more specific about your issues with the page because condescending links to Wikipedia-for-Dummies ain't it. EddieDean19 (talk) 23:54, 27 January 2024 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Voorts. I noticed that you made a comment on the page Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Basile High School that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. A little encouragement is in order...
Hi! Thanks for your efforts to improve the encyclopedia including creating Basile High School. I know it's frustrating when someone is not appreciative of your efforts and even goes so far as to try to remove your work entirely, as happened almost immediately upon your creating the article. It's important for you to know however that Wikipedia is governed by policies and no one person is the king who gets to decide what happens. Whether articles are kept or deleted is determined by consensus - and as WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES shows, U.S. high school articles almost always are kept. There is a process by which it is decided whether an article nominated for deletion is kept or not. Editors will give their opinions as to whether the article should be kept, based on some policy or another, and after a while the AfD discussion will be closed. My first suggestion for you is to first always remain civil (whether or not others are), because that will definitely make others more likely to listen to your reasoning, and be patient. Second, watch what goes on at the deletion discussion for a few days before making your case and casting your own vote (but don't wait past 7 days). Look at some other deletion discussions as well. Third, find more sources. These sources do NOT have to be online, so if you know of sources in books, documents, letters, etc. - these things may exist at local libraries, museums, etc - you may cite them.
Your article at first posting was probably better than most school articles, but was blanked only two hours later and then nominated for deletion shortly after that. Sure seems like a case of biting a new editor! I apologize on behalf of the project that this article was treated this way, but realize that there are literally 14 million editors, and while I think this editor has made a mistake here, it looks like they are a constructive editor overall. Give them a chance, stay calm and collected, and Wikipedia should work out for you. I apologize if I'm rambling, have a great day! — Jacona (talk) 22:17, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- I just saw this message. @EddieDean19, I apologize and Self-trout. It was not my intention to discourage you from continuing to contribute to Wikipedia. voorts (talk/contributions) 22:47, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
- @EddieDean19 Good news! The deletion discussion has concluded, and all the participants supported your article’s inclusion on the encyclopedia. I’m sorry you had to go through this, but sooner or later we all do. Most of the time thing work out just fine, as they did here. I hope you will continue to participate, your contributions are valued and have improved the encyclopedia! Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Plain Dealing High School.png
Thank you for uploading File:Plain Dealing High School.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 29 January 2024 (UTC)

Hello, EddieDean19, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Eddiedean1919 (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. You appear to be using both of these accounts. Meters (talk) 01:26, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Fred Ottman, you may be blocked from editing. Magnolia677 (talk) 19:52, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- Don't threaten me. Ask nicely next time. EddieDean19 (talk) 20:51, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
- Um...that was a level-3 template. Users have no control over the content. Anyway, I removed a lot of your unsourced edits. Hey, if you don't want other editors adding "threatening", not nice templates to your talk page, please start adding sources to all your edits. Thanks! Magnolia677 (talk) 23:27, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
High school location
Hi there. You might not have been aware, but Template:Infobox NFL biography says the listed high school should have its city–state location shown parenthetically. There's some bad example in articles using state abbreviations only, so it can be confusing. Also per the guideline MOS:STATEABBR, state abbreviations are not used in infoboxes. Regards. —Bagumba (talk) 06:18, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
- Hi again. You haven't provided a response to my concerns, but I see that you have continued to make similar edits, and that another editor reverted your changes at Justin Jefferson, also saying it's counter to the template documented convention. I kindly ask that you stop making similar changes to the high school locations without resolving this issue first. Regards. —Bagumba (talk) 04:43, 14 February 2024 (UTC)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:EddieDean19/sandbox/Opelousas Senior High School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.slpsb.org/o/ohs/page/history-of-ohs. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Wikipedia and copyright
Hello EddieDean19! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:28, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF EDITING THIS DRAFT ARTICLE. I KNOW WHAT COPYRIGHT AND PLAGIARISM ARE. WOULD YOU PEOPLE GET OFF MY BACK SO I CAN ACTUALLY EDIT THIS THING. EVERY FIVE SECONDS SOMEONE FEELS IT NECESSARY TO ASSUME I'M AN IDIOT.
- I GET IT. THANK YOU. EddieDean19 (talk) 02:32, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
- People here always drone on about "assume good faith." Apparently that's a one-way street. I'm supposed to assume that these pedantic messages sent regarding draft articles are "in good faith," but ill intent is almost always assumed on the part of the creator. EddieDean19 (talk) 03:30, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
