Hello I want make page for an a Artist but is very diffcult could you do it? Thanks Winnerboy77 (talk) 23:26, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hey, Winnerboy77! Creating an article is definitely a difficult task, and one of the hardest for new editors. If you don't feel ready to create an article yourself, just make sure the subject is notable enough and you can add it to the proper list at WP:RA, where someone might create it someday. Bsoyka (talk · contribs) 23:42, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
- Bumping thread for 5 days. Waiting for any further replies/questions. Bsoyka (talk · contribs) 02:21, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Winnerboy77, if you want to make a new page, follow my steps
1. Search in the name of the article you want to name it. 2. Enter the name and click the RED link. 3. Start typing! If you have any more questions, please tell us!!! Texas Lane (talk) 04:03, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Texas Lane: They seem to be saying it's difficult to write the contents of an article, so I doubt instructions on how to create one will help too much here. {{u|Bsoyka}} talk 04:09, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

Question from Beisenbe on Maxwell's equations (14:38, 7 March 2022)
Hello and thanks for helping a newcomer. I am trying to edit a section of Maxwell Equations called Charge Conservation and I copy and paste an equation and change it. But it shows up as source code NOT as final format. I somehow have not turned on the right editor. Sorry for being so stupid --Beisenbe (talk) 14:38, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hey, Beisenbe! It might help to edit the article using the Source Editor rather than VisualEditor. Let me know if that helps at all; if not, I can help you add the equation myself. — {{u|Bsoyka}} talk 15:12, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
Alysa Liu
Hi, I notice you've twice reverted an IP editor who wanted to insert a comment that Alysa Liu has blue eyes in the lead of the article about her on grounds that the information is irrelevant. From a brief Google search, it's also probably wrong; most sites have her down as brown-eyed. Elemimele (talk) 16:03, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
- @Elemimele: That does appear to be the case, thanks for the heads-up. Regardless, it still doesn't seem relevant to even include in the article, much less in the lead. I'll keep that in mind if they continue, though. {{User:ClueBot III/ArchiveNow}} Bsoyka (talk) 16:06, 21 March 2022 (UTC)
- Totally agreed. I only searched in case I found a huge array of newspaper articles entitled "Ice Skater has Amazing Blue Eyes!". If we're going to start adding stuff like that to the leads of articles, we'll end up with Darwin's lead describing him as a Bearded Biologist. Elemimele (talk) 16:12, 21 March 2022 (UTC)

User VisitingSamG
Hi Bsoyka, I'm so sorry to bother you but the user VisitingSamG is continuing to conduct an edit war on the page Death of Kumanjayi Walker. I'm trying my best to avoid this unpleasant situation but he is continuing to edit war despite being warned. He is also now harassing me by block deleting my edits on other pages I have contributed to. I don't know what to do, if you could please help me that would be much appreciated. Thank you. Dippiljemmy (talk) 23:23, 20 March 2022 (UTC)
- I'm looking into this now. However, keep in mind that your own behavior may also be scrutinized here, as you may have also violated the three-revert rule on that article. Let me look into it a little bit further and I'll bring this up on an appropriate page or reply here soon. Bsoyka (talk) 23:47, 20 March 2022 (UTC)

Hello, it's me again. You asked for a specific article in the Teahouse but never responded to my response. Killing Daniel
Hey,
“Killing Daniel” is now called “Daniel’s Gotta Die”. I’m the writer; this wasn’t vandalism.
-Matthew Dresseme (talk) 17:20, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hey, Dresseme! Two things for you here:
- Do you have an independent reliable source to back this up? Wikipedia is generally uninterested in what article subjects have to say about themselves; we care only about what outside sources say.
- In this case, you must follow the guidelines at WP:PAID to avoid breaking Wikipedia's terms of use.
- Thanks for reaching out! Bsoyka (talk) 17:26, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
- This interview shows the title change. Can you please help change the main title on the Wikipedia page so it no longer says Killing Daniel? Dresseme (talk) 17:36, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
- That page shows a change from “Blue Iguana” to “Daniel’s Got To Die”, not this. It also doesn’t even mention the old title “Killing Daniel”, so I don’t think this confirms they’re the same film at all. Bsoyka (talk) 21:11, 29 March 2022 (UTC)

On 3 April 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Advice/ help on Draft: Peter Queally (fighter)
Hey man, I saw that you reviewed and turned down my article on Peter Queally (the Bellator fighter). I know that there is criteria for notability, and for MMA a fighter must have been ranked in the top 10 of FightMatrix? However, there are many fighters with Wikipedia articles who for which this is not the case, and have never been ranked close to top 10. Peter has fought for a world title and beat the current champion, and he has over 3 fights in top level MMA organisations.
Therefore, I was wondering is there anything I can do to help get this article submitted, for example adding more references (or something else) or is it completely out of my control? I would appreciate any advice or feedback you have on this topic. Here is the article – Draft:Peter Queally (fighter) Thank you for your time. Kind regards, Jack — Preceding unsigned comment added by FFCETT77 (talk • contribs) 10:11, 16 April 2022 (UTC)
- Courtesy link: Draft:Peter Queally (fighter)@FFCETT77: Looking into it a bit more now, the draft seems to meet the general notability guideline, so it should actually be fine on the notability end. I was basically declining on the grounds that no changes were made between the decline and the resubmission, which generally isn't a good sign. Also, as a side note, I'd like to point you over to WP:WAX just to get you out of the habit of comparing Wikipedia articles with one another like that. For example, not all articles have gone through the AfC process as yours is now. This includes Cody Law; there was no reviewer there before that was added to the mainspace. Bsoyka (talk) 13:51, 16 April 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for the feedback, I’ve taken a look at some of the guidelines and I’ll take it on board.
- Just slightly curious as to what I should do next? Should I just wait and add more references/information or should I resubmit? (Or some other option)
- Thanks FFCETT77 (talk) 14:08, 16 April 2022 (UTC)
- I'd probably go ahead and resubmit unless you're able to find another reference or two, in which case that probably won't hurt. Bsoyka (talk) 12:01, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
- Pinning this section so it isn't archived until the draft is accepted, stale, or otherwise done. Bsoyka (talk) 13:55, 16 April 2022 (UTC)

DYK for Star on the Mountain
On 19 May 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Star on the Mountain, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the El Paso Star on the Mountain (pictured) is lit up every night and visible from the air up to 100 miles (160 km) away? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/El Paso Star 2. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Star on the Mountain), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Question from Lewisneedle on User:Lewisneedle/sandbox (02:55, 12 June 2022)
Hi Mentor,
Can I get some feedback on this...? --Lewisneedle (talk) 02:55, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Lewisneedle: Hello! I'll gladly try to provide some feedback, but on what? If you were editing your sandbox or some other page, it looks like you didn't publish your changes, as the only edit you've made on the entire wiki was adding the above message. Bsoyka (talk) 03:23, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
- Lol - do i need to mention i'm new here! Lewisneedle (talk) 03:31, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
I have a brief page in my sandbox. I think it is hitting the notability criteria. The pages is for James Needle but james needle currently redirect redirects to Jan Needle. Is this a problem? Lewisneedle (talk) 18:11, 12 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Lewisneedle: As a note, I'd just keep the Draft:James Needle page and request deletion of the sandbox page so there's only one copy. In addition, are you related to James? If so, I wouldn't recommend continuing further in making an article here. See WP:PSCOI. Bsoyka (talk) 10:59, 14 June 2022 (UTC)

I can't see the option for submitting my draft. --Panda Soumyaranjan (talk) 10:15, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hey, @Panda Soumyaranjan.Normally, I'd point you toward the usual article submission process, but I think I'm going to have to stop you right here on this one. Wikipedia is not the place to publish your autobiography, particularly when you definitely do not appear to meet our notability criteria for people. Unfortunately, this wouldn't make it past a single review as a submitted draft. However, if you'd still like to contribute to the encyclopedia, I recommend checking out our getting started page. Sorry for the disappointing news, but I hope you'll still find ways to contribute to the project. Bsoyka (talk) 14:14, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- I am just writing it not publishing it, I didn't find the submit button so I thought that by mistake I submitted it. That is why I am asking why my submit button is not visible? --Panda Soumyaranjan (talk) 14:31, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Panda Soumyaranjan: In that case, I'll note that Wikipedia is generally not the place to write content that you don't plan on sharing with the world on Wikipedia. There is a way to make the submission button visible, but I'm not going to guide you there for this one as mentioned previously. In the future though, if you have drafts you would like to submit, let me know! Bsoyka (talk) 16:20, 4 July 2022 (UTC)

Div-span-flip lint errors

Page creation - new member
Hi there, I am new to Wikipedia and work as a promoter for an orchestral conductor. I would like to create a Wikipedia page for the conductor but I'm finding the process a little overwhelming and complicated! Do you have any tips on how I might work toward producing my own page, or would this need to be done by an experienced editor? FortemusicSRJ (talk) 13:01, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
- @FortemusicSRJ: To put it very simply, I'd recommend just avoiding any work related to this conductor on Wikipedia. Wikipedia isn't a place to advertise or promote. Not only could this type of editing result in a violation of Wikipedia's terms if done improperly, it could also very easily result in a non-neutral POV on the article, which is contrary to Wikipedia's purpose. You may want to request the article at WP:RA, but the bottom line is basically that if this conductor is truly notable enough for an article, someone unaffiliated will eventually make it happen. Bsoyka (talk) 14:55, 12 November 2022 (UTC)

Question from 10thtenbeingTen (06:50, 18 November 2022)
Hi! I wanted to ask, how can I change/add the languages for my suggested edit pages? I set my display language to English, because I am most comfortable reading in English, but I am not comfortable or confident writing/editing entries in English that much. My native language is German, but despite trying to input this in my settings, I only get shown English language entries as suggestions. Many thanks, Ten --10thtenbeingTen (talk) 06:50, 18 November 2022 (UTC)

Question from Knowledgekeeda7 (05:31, 12 December 2022)
Hi Bsoyka,
Thanks for being my mentor. Please may I ask for advice/help?
I tried to create the Wikipedia page for MindBox India (India's First Stem Accredited EdTech), Which offers coding & design classes for school students.
Page has been rejected 2 times due to some uncertain reasons. Even I mentioned citation from authorized media portals.
Kind regards, Kshitij Paul --Knowledgekeeda7 (talk) 05:31, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Knowledgekeeda7: The main issue in my view is that your draft reads like an advertisement. Wikipedia is a place for factual information presented from a neutral point of view. Talking about the organizations "dedictation" just doesn't seem that way. This leads me to wonder... are you associated with or employed by MindBox India? Bsoyka (talk) 18:44, 12 December 2022 (UTC)
- No. I am not associated with the subject. But that was the only information which is available on search engine portals. How can i be neutral for the same subject? Can you Please share some advices for the same? Knowledgekeeda7 (talk) 06:05, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Knowledgekeeda7: My main advice would be to use a search engine, then find reliable secondary sources (not from the company itself) to find information for your draft. If there isn't enough info from such sources, the subject may just not be notable enough for a Wikipedia article. Bsoyka (talk) 19:59, 13 December 2022 (UTC), edited 20:01, 13 December 2022 (UTC)

Your revert.
So are you hiding information from others that may needs to be known? What if something needs to know how to harness what is quantum singularity to energize what the sun’s core is, such as if their sun was dying? How is my knowledge not “constructive”? All you’re doing is keeping Wikipedia from what it’s supposed to be. “A Source Of Knowledge”.
Please if you can NOT disprove what I have applied mathematically, scientifically, and which may even be of a holy nature being combined. Then what right do you have to say I’m wrong by taking my KNOWLEDGE off? IVonish (talk) 03:31, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

Elimination of several things that were misused by the Mandailing against Angkola

- This is not my intention, but this has been verified and it is the Mandailing people who are responsible for the mistake. You can review these two different ethnicities if you don't believe that this is verified properly and correctly Sulhansiregar (talk) 03:30, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- @Sulhansiregar: I'm not too familiar with the subject matter, so I can't get too into the specifics, but here's what I do know:
- You should always explain why you're removing or changing things using an edit summary.
- We go based on verifiability with reliable and published sources.
- Wikipedia isn't the place to right great wrongs.
- Personally, I would visit the article's talk page to discuss this issue with other editors. Keep these three points in mind, and bring some reliable sources with you to the discussion. Bsoyka (talk) 03:40, 18 December 2022 (UTC)

Question from Vorpal Lunacies (13:13, 25 January 2023)
Hi Bsoyka, I have a question to which I am having a hard time finding an answer: Is there a way to link articles between different languages of wikipedia? For example, the opera "Orphee l'Amour Eurydice" has a Dutch actor who has a Dutch wikipedia page. Is there a way to link to her page? --Vorpal Lunacies (talk) 13:13, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Vorpal Lunacies: Absolutely! See Help:Interwiki linking for the details. Happy editing! Bsoyka (talk) 01:15, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
