Proposed deletion for The Other Nite Show

Hi, I'd like to request you delete The Other Nite Show. It is a non notable community radio show from a minor AM station (and therfore not notable, if you don't delete it any other Australian community radio show could put up a page. Cheers, Ryan. 122.148.64.45 (talk) 12:55, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

User Account Access

Hey a while ago I created the user account User:ScottKeeler, but I didn't use an email address and forgot the password I used. Would it be possible to create the account User:Scott Keeler for me or get me access to my original account? There weren't any contribs on my account if that helps. Thanks, Scott (scottk503 at gmail) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.166.83.35 (talk) 04:57, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:AngelinaJolieMrAndMrsSmith.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:AngelinaJolieMrAndMrsSmith.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:37, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:4269.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 14:46, 15 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Phil Sandifer 14:46, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There have been a series of proposals to initiate a Featured List of the Day on the main page. Numerous proposals have been put forth. After the third one failed, I audited all WP:FL's in order to begin an experiment in my own user space that will hopefully get it going. Today, it commences at WP:LOTD. Afterwards I created my experimental page, a new proposal was set forth to do a featured list that is strikingly similar to my own which is to do a user page experimental featured list, but no format has been confirmed and mechanism set in place. I continue to be willing to do the experiment myself and with this posting it commences. Please submit any list that you would like to have considered for list of the day in the month of January 2008 by the end of this month to WP:LOTD and its subpages. You may submit multiple lists for consideration.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:LOTD) 17:31, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rock Steady

I'll have time to review it either tomorrow or Wednesday. Conversely, might I ask you look at Just like Heaven (song)? It's a short article, but's probably as comphrensive as possible, and another editor has suggested I take it to FAC. WesleyDodds (talk) 08:46, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Also, have you searched through the online archives at Time.com, EW.com, and NYTimes.com yet? All three sites have archives that stretch back to the start of publication. WesleyDodds (talk) 08:52, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I finally had time to read your temp version. Looks very good. Incorporate your revision into the article, I'll perform some tweaks, and it should be done. WesleyDodds (talk) 10:21, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
"I'm going to resign myself to improving articles and hopefully getting a few that are FACs now off of the list". That's a shame, but remember: illegitimi non carborundum! CloudNine (talk) 10:32, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Good. I read your statement as "I'll no longer send articles to FAC", which is a shame. CloudNine (talk) 17:07, 7 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats on another Featured Article. That strange cross-debate on your FAC noms hopefully doesn't bother you too much. I'll try to review your other FAC when I can. WesleyDodds (talk) 23:28, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spiffier triple crown, new awards available

The standard triple crown.

Hi, I've been sprucing up the triple crown awards. Here's the new version of the standard triple crown you've already earned. Feel free to replace your old one with this if you like the new version better. I've also introduced two new triple crown awards for editors who've done a lot of triple crown work: the Napoleonic and Alexander the Great edition awards. If you're active in a WikiProject, check out the new offer for custom WikiProject triple crowns. I'll make those upon request if five or more editors qualify. See User:Durova/Triple crown winner's circle for more information. Thanks for your hard work, and cheers! DurovaCharge! 21:48, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:SpecialForces box.jpg

Hello, 17Drew. I'm unsure what I need to add to make the cover meet the requirements. I was under the impression that the low resolution version of a cover meets the fair use policy. I've read Wikipedia:Fair_use_rationale_guideline and I think the image fits is not replacable by a "fee content" image it also the "box art" of the subject. So what else do I need to do? Another thing, what is common practise, should I reply to your message on my talkpage or create a topic on yours? I myself usually add talkpages to my watchlist but I don't know if that is common practise or not. Thanks! Felsir (talk) 08:32, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looking for some assistance...

Hi Drew. I'm hoping you can point me in the right direction. I have been tasked with creating and administering a relatively large intranet site using MediaWiki software. As we are developing this project, it is becoming apparent that we need some ideas on how to manage and administer our wiki. We chose MediaWiki as our software with the intention of modeling our site with the very familiar Wikipedia. I can really use some assistance understanding how Wikipedia is managed to put those lessons learned into our project. Do you know of someone who might be able to talk to me as I continue the development of our intranet site? Any advice you can offer would be most appreciated. Thanks.

South of Heaven FAC

Hi, I hope all is well. I'd like to thank you for commenting at the South of Heaven FAC, and I apologise if my comments as regards American / British conventions came across the wrong way. Are there any specific paragraphs which may cause concern to you from a copyediting perspective? If so, I'd like to address them. Really, I'd like to wrap up the South of Heaven FAC as soon as possible. One editor has become a nuisance there, and the quicker the FAC closes means the quicker I don't have to listen to inexperienced editors lecture about topics they're not experienced enough in. Since you're very experienced in FA writing, I trust your judgment. LuciferMorgan (talk) 17:33, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for taking a look at the FAC, and offering your opinions. Should you have any concerns about the article, especially specific aspects, feel free to get in touch. Hopefully those errors you found weren't reflective of a larger problem. :) LuciferMorgan (talk) 12:48, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! LuciferMorgan recommended you as one of the users to review the article Hybrid Theory which is currently undergoing a second peer review and might soon become a featured article. With your help and scrutiny on the article, that goal might just become true. If there is anything, please reply on my talk page. Thanks! (SUDUSER)85 11:54, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ethanrom.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Ethanrom.jpg.

Thank you. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Fuchs01.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Fuchs01.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:33, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alien versus Predator and The Dark Knight Questions?

Someone keeps posting this incorrect information Alien versus Predator.

After viewing Alien vs. Predator, however, Cameron remarked that "it was actually pretty good. I think of the five Alien films, I'd rate it third. I actually liked it. I actually liked it a lot."

James Cameron never saw Alien versus Predator. Further his comment was intended as a joke and not too be take at all seriously. This is what he really said below.

"Then I saw ALIEN VS PREDATOR and it was actually pretty good. (laughs) I think of the 5 ALIEN films, I'd rate it 3rd."

In The Dark Knight Nolan never said the following which is just what an interviewer said.

"By having the Joker wear make-up instead of being injured by chemicals, Nolan was able to avoid having to tell an in-depth origin story for the character."

Please help stop these fanboys from spreading untrue messages.

Block Please?

Hello! I was wondering if you could block User talk:128.241.46.108 from editing I Love New York. I am trying to bring the page up to standards, but he keeps changing it back to normal, and has threatened to block me if I continue. I have also noticed he keeps deleting his talk page, which I know your not supposed to do. If you can not block him, could you put a protection from new users on the New York page? Need a neutral opinion

If you have a moment, can you take a look at Talk:Thriller 25? Myself and a few other editors seem to be going back and forth about whether this should be in its own article. So far I've place a merge tage there, and the consensus could go either way (which is fine), but it seems to be the same few people going on and on and its been about a week. There are two main conversations going, here and here. Anything you could add would be appreciated. Thanks! - eo (talk) 23:10, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Declareyourself aguilera.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Declareyourself aguilera.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use media which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Bbedn (talk) 01:22, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Prior stargate3.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Prior stargate3.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 15:49, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

Hello,

I'm sorry to trouble you, but you're the first admin on the list.

There's been some contention on the Holodomor Denial page with one particular editor.

At one point of my WP career, I came across a page which described how to engage an uninvolved admin into a discussion concerning Eastern Europe. Could you please point me to that page?

I have tagged Image:OC-302.jpg as {{orphaned fairuse}}. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. If this image is being used as a link target instead of displayed inline, please add {{not orphan}} to the image description page to prevent it being accidentally marked as orphaned again. — pd_THOR | =/\= | 18:52, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My pile of improper images.

Drew, I must admit I'm a bit confused, as I have put images on Wikipedia following what I believe to be fair-use standards. Some of these have been replaced with a near identical image. What the heck is the difference?! I honestly enjoy contruibuting to Wikipeadia, but I need more solid explanations for what makes an image unfair. Please be specific about the images I've used if possible. Hopefully this will help me understand Wikipedia's standards. thanks for helping me. Sambson (talk) 17:00, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:SGA-poster.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:SGA-poster.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rettetast (talk) 20:14, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have tagged Image:Stargate_Atlantis_Team_Season_2.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. Some examples can be found at Wikipedia:Use rationale examples. Orphaned non-free media (Image:24tv.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:24tv.jpg.

Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:13, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

disputed fair use rational for Phoenix lights 1.jpg

Speedy deletion of Image:Phoenix lights 1.jpg

A tag has been placed on Image:Phoenix lights 1.jpg, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

it is claimed to be 'fair use' as a historic photo, but is actually not a photograph at all, but promotional photoshoppery from a book cover

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on [[Talk:Image:Phoenix lights 1.jpg|the article's talk page]] explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. kwami (talk) 10:23, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for Image:APublicAffairVideo.png

Thank you for uploading Image:APublicAffairVideo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. Request

Could you please keep an eye on SamEV. This editor, as of late, seems to be Wikihounding my contributions, typically based on false or frivolous issues. I have made attempts to contact and discuss with the editor, but have had several of my messages disregarded, often with inflammatory remarks. When confronted, the editor then accuses me of the same bad faith.

This editor's history has shown similar experiences with other editors in the past. M5891 (talk) 20:09, 9 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:Vadersketch.jpg)

You've uploaded File:Vadersketch.jpg, and indicated that it's used under Wikipedia's rules for non-free images. However, it's not presently used in any articles. Wikipedia policy requires that non-free images be either used or deleted, so if this image isn't used in an article in the next week, it will be deleted.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Neo Shadow.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:Neo Shadow.jpg.

Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:08, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:PonDeReplayVideo.png. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Need help posting a new Photo of Daniel Rodriguez at his article page

Drew would you be able to help me change a photo on a page. I was the person who started the Daniel Rodriguez article. I have not been on in a while, been a bit ill and honestly, I cannot remember how it was that I posted the photos initially. Could you help me? Whatever you can do would be greatly appreciated! i posted it in the Wikipedia commons, but unfortunately, the file should have Daniel Rodriguez in it's title. We do have permission from the photographer Rick Stockwell to post it, so long as he gets credit.

I need to change the photo at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Rodriguez and replace it with this one:http://www.danielrodriguezmusic.com/Daniel_Rodriguez_-_RickStockwellPhotoChelseaOpera.jpg

Here are the spects for the page, but I have not been on Wiki in about 3 years and canot remember how to do this:

for Wikipedia form for photo

Daniel Rodriguez in his operatic debut as Canio in Ruggero Leoncavallo's I Pagliacci in New York City with the Chelsea Opera Company June 7, 2006.

I have done a GA Reassessment of Wind It Up (Gwen Stefani song) as part of the GA Sweeps project. I have found the article to nearly meet the GA Criteria. I found several dead links and the lead needs to be augmented a little but. My review is here. I have placed the article on hold for a week pending work. I am notifying you as the primary editor of this review. If you have any questions please contact me on my talk page. H1nkles (talk) 22:29, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:TallyWong.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:TallyWong.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Mexican radio

Hello. I've been working with quite a few audio files here on Wikipedia and have come across a situation where there's a duplicate file for the Wall of Voodoo song "Mexican Radio". Apparently yourself and another user uploaded a sample of the song. So what we need to do is figure out which version we want to keep. A guideline exists (WP:SAMPLE) that states that only one sample per recording should exist. I've trimmed both samples for length to meet the 10% guideline. Can you please listen to both to help determine which should be kept? Dawnseeker2000 18:29, 24 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Information about admins

Hi! I'm starting an empirical research on "Gender and votes in requests for adminship" and, for this, we would need to know the gender of the admins. We have tried different methods such as looking for the template User:UBX/male and User:UBX/female but only 4 admins use it. We have also used the API for getting the gender field in the profile but out of 1744 admins only around 400 have filled this field. And we would benefit for having a larger sample, ideally all the admins. So we were thinking about writing a message on user talk page of admins asking if they want to write their gender. I'm writing to you as alphabetically-first admins ;) Do you think this is ok, or you would suggest other ways? Thanks! phauly (talk) 13:06, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Survey on gender

Hi! I'm Liria Veronesi (User:Akoha77) and, together with Paolo Massa (User:Phauly), I'm starting an empirical research on "Gender and votes in requests for adminship". For this reason, we need to know the gender of Wikipedians who were candidated to become admins.

We tried looking for the templates User:UBX/male and User:UBX/female but only 4 admins use it. We also used the API for getting the gender field in the profile but, out of 1744 admins, only around 400 have filled this field. But we would benefit from a larger coverage, i.e. possibly knowing the gender of 100% of candidates.

So, after asking for advise to 3 admins and receiving 2 positive replies (1 and 2), we decided to try to ask directly to Wikipedians.

Thus, would you be so kind to write your gender [Male / Female / Other], together with a text comment if you want, on my talk page at User_talk:Akoha77? If you prefer to send me this information privately, you can send me an email, the information will be kept confidential and never shared.

Thanks! Akoha77 (talk) 12:30, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Main page appearance

Hello! This is a note to let the main editors of this article know that it will be appearing as the main page featured article on December 5, 2010. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/December 5, 2010. If you think it is necessary to change the main date, you can request it with the featured article director, Raul654 (talk · contribs). If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions of the suggested formatting. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :D Thanks! Suspension of admin privileges due to inactivity

Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative privileges of users who have been inactive for one year, meaning administrators who have made neither any edits nor any logged actions in over one year. As a result of this discussion, your administrative privileges have been removed pending your return. If you wish to have these privileges reinstated, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e., as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised and that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions). This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. Main page appearance: Hey Baby (No Doubt song)

This is a note to let the main editors of Hey Baby (No Doubt song) know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on February 25, 2012. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/February 25, 2012. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask featured article director Raul654 (talk · contribs) or his delegate Dabomb87 (talk · contribs), or start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you might change it—following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. The blurb as it stands now is below:

"Hey Baby" is a song written by Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont, and Bounty Killer for No Doubt's fifth studio album Rock Steady (2001). Released as the album's lead single, the song is heavily influenced by the Jamaican dancehall music present at No Doubt's post-show parties and tour bus lounges of their Return of Saturn tour. Its lyrics describe the debauchery with groupies at these parties. The song received positive reviews from music critics, though the song's dancehall influences had a mixed reception. It was released as the album's lead single in October 2001. The single was commercially successful and peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100. At the 45th Grammy Awards, "Hey Baby" won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. (more...)

Non-free rationale for File:TheSagaBeginsVideo.png

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:TheSagaBeginsVideo.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. If it needs tweaking, or if it needs rewording to match improvements to the article between now and its main page appearance, please edit it, following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. The blurb as it stands now is below:

Gwen Stefani performing "Rich Girl"

"Rich Girl" is a song by American recording artist Gwen Stefani (pictured) from her 2004 debut solo album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby. Produced by Dr. Dre, the track features rapper Eve, who had previously collaborated with Stefani on the 2001 single "Let Me Blow Ya Mind". "Rich Girl" is a remake of Louchie Lou & Michie One's 1993 song of the same name, which was in turn an adaptation of the Fiddler on the Roof song "If I Were a Rich Man". In the song, Stefani discusses dreams of wealth and luxury. She has said that the song is from the perspective of "when she was just an Orange County girl". The last song to be included on the album, "Rich Girl" was released in late 2004 to mixed reviews from music critics. Some found it ironic that Stefani, who had already sold twenty-six million records with No Doubt, discussed having money in the counterfactual conditional. It was a commercial success, reaching the top ten on the majority of the charts it entered. In the United States, "Rich Girl" was certified gold, and it received a nomination for Best Rap/Sung collaboration at the 48th Grammy Awards. The music video for "Rich Girl" was directed by David LaChapelle and features a pirate theme. (Full article...)
