An indirect Presidential elections were held in Marshall Islands on 6 January 2020 to elect the President of the Republic.[1] The ballot resulted in an alternation, David Kabua winning over outgoing President Hilda Heine.[2]

Result

Only two candidates were nominated for President, who is elected by the 33 members of Nitijeļā. The candidates were the incumbent President Hilda Heine, and the son of first President and former Minister in Assistance to the President David Kabua. Kabua later won the election with 20 votes to 12 votes of incumbent Heine.
