User:Bsoyka/Sources
I can access a very vast list of resources, and I gladly share them with the Wikipedia community, both through my own contributions and by sharing copies of resources by request.
Request process
Please reach out if you're looking for a resource I might be able to access. I promise, I'd love to help!
To smooth out this process, here are a few things you'll need:
- The most information about the source you can provide, typically in the form of a full citation
- A specific chapter/section you'd like (I won't provide full books or similar documents for copyright reasons.)
- The name of the article(s) you're working on (I'll generally only share resources for the purpose of contributing to Wikipedia.)
- A valid email address attached to your account (check or update) so I can share your file
What I can access
I seem to have access to most published materials out there in one way or another. Plus, if I can't find something, the library wizards at the U of M probably can.
Here are some resources I explicitly have access to:
University of Minnesota libraries
- All materials in the U of M system (search)
- Interlibrary loans through the Big Ten Academic Alliance
- 900+ databases (list)
- All resources that don't require an application (list)
- Adam Matthew Digital (primary sources in American/world history)
- E-Yearbook
- All materials in the HCL system (search)
- Interlibrary loans through MNLINK (search)
- 100+ databases (list)
My favorite databases
I can access these (and so many more) through one or more of the institutions above:
- Access World News
- Ancestry.com Library Edition
- EBSCOHost
- FamilySearch affiliate library access
- Fold3
- Gale
- GuideStar Pro
- JSTOR
- Newspapers.com
- Oxford English Dictionary
- ProQuest
Individual newspapers
I have access to the online versions of these newspapers:
- El Paso Times (until July 5, 2025)
- The New York Times
- The Wall Street Journal (through U of M)
