Usage
This project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of articles within the scope of the project.
Syntax
The full syntax is as follows:

Instructions
- class – a rating of the article's quality
- importance – a rating of the article's importance
- attention – "yes" if the article requires immediate attention. This adds the talk page to Category:Indian Premier League articles needing attention.
- needs-infobox – "yes" if the article needs an infobox. This adds the talk page to Category:Indian Premier League articles needing infoboxes.
- category – "no" if only if a banner is being used for demonstration or testing purposes, to prevent unnecessary or undesirable categorization.
Quality assessment
An article's quality assessment is generated from the class parameter in the {{WikiProject Banner Shell}}. Articles that have the {{WikiProject Indian Premier League}} project banner on their talk page will be added to the appropriate categories by quality.
The following values may be used for the class parameter to describe the quality of the article (see Wikipedia:Content assessment for assessment criteria):

Importance scale
To avoid needlessly cluttering up talk pages, it is usually appropriate to remove any unused parameters from the template.
