Alternate definition
This unsourced definition was removed from the article: "In the U.S., the term is also used in urban areas to refer to large parks, that because of their expansive size and unique natural and cultural attractions draw visitors from the entire region. These parks, which usually have many uses including commercial event activities (such as weddings and seminar centers), require a higher level of management compared to smaller parks such as city parks, neighborhood parks, recreation centers, and pocket parks that have fewer activities and primarily serve local residents."
Is this correct? Anyone have a source for this definition? Rmhermen (talk) 19:59, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
Merger proposal
I propose merging (very sparse) content from County park here, as it is just a specific sort of regional park in the United States, and there isn't much to say other than it is a park managed by a county. That information could be better presented here. Though this article is far from complete, every little bit helps. Antepenultimate (talk) 03:22, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
- I don't support the merge. Thierry Caro (talk) 20:59, 26 August 2017 (UTC)
- Country Park has a particular meaning in UK distinct from Regional Park. If seeking wiki about country park I would not expect to look up regional park.[1]
