Not an MP

I have removed the claim that Allen was MP for Bath 1757-64, which is not true: he was never MP for Bath, nor as far as I can tell was he ever MP for any other constituency. Bath's MPs between 1757 and 1764 were William Pitt the Elder (July 1757-November 1766) holding one seat and John Ligonier (March 1748-April 1763) followed by Sir John Sebright (April 1763-October 1774). See Namier & Brooke, The House of Commons 1754-1790 in the History of Parliament series. Rgmmortimore (talk) 18:58, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've just noticed this as well (he was still categorised as an MP). Not sure where it came from, but oddly the National Archives entry for him notes he was an MP - I'll write to them and see if they can correct it. Andrew Gray (talk) 21:00, 22 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
