Dollar Van is a Caribbean coined name isn't it?
They also go by the name Dollar Cab, Maxi Taxi, tap tap, or ZR("Zed-R")-- CaribDigita (talk) 21:28, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
Yup. I disagree that these are commonly referred to as "guagua." They're called Jitneys.

In Cuba, and apparently Puerto Rico, all types of buses are often called "guagua." I don't know the origin of the term, but if we're going to redirect grom Guagua to this article, we should explain it. Ileanadu (talk) 22:19, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- Apparently in the Dominican Republic also. http://etimologias.dechile.net/?guagua Ileanadu (talk) 22:22, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- This link also presents some explanations for the origin of the term. The explanation I had heard was the one about the Wa Wa transportation company building the buses. Ileanadu (talk) 22:26, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
