Introduce the term "blacktopping"
I think the term "blacktopping" needs to be explained (as the dictionary entry says "To pave with blacktop." (blacktop - "Asphalt concrete or similar bituminous black paving material used for the surface of roads")).
From "The Global Impact of Counterfeit Electronic Components": "black paint is applied on top of labeling and re-branding is done — the practice of applying black paint is called blacktopping."
Blacktopping probably means the re-branding as well (despite the above source).
