Mhare, it looks like I reverted this edit and this edit just now. The article is indeed described as original scientific research, but it's part of a published journal, hence there's a presumption that journal editors reviewed it before publishing. Internally, that article references the next sentence after the disputed one to an earlier 2009 article by the same author, published in a different publication, and in turn articles from other authors from 1970, 1983, 2000.
