Unrelated and false information

The following sentence in the beginning of the article 1. Gives false information (claims the person winning the marathon) and 2. Makes no contribution:

“Roggith premnath made his marathon debut to win the Dubai Marathon in 2:16:07 on Sunday. Roggith Premnath, at just 14 years of age, made his marathon debut to win the Dubai Marathon World Athletics Label road race in 2:05:01.” 94.204.244.219 (talk) 21:13, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Recommendations for the Article

The lead section has a strong overview, but lacks significant content. I think that as a whole, the article is relatively under-developed. Some sections that could be added are a description of the importance of the race, how individuals qualify, how competitive it is compared to other marathons, a brief history of the race, and more description of the top 15 male and female runners. This would give the reader a much deeper understanding of this particular race and what significance it has for marathon runners across the globe. Additionally, I believe that more sources should be added to describe different aspects of the marathon. Currently, there are only three sources, and two of them are about an anecdote of a specific runner. I believe that adding descriptions of more runners, and more sources about their competitions, would give readers a better understanding of the competitiveness of this race. Moreover, I think that the article should have images to help the reader understand what the race looks like and the environment the runners face. Overall, I think that adding more content to this article will significantly improve and allow readers to better understand the importance of the 2024 Dubai Marathon.
