Please stop
As discussed on 16th August, please stop making the incorrect edits AWB suggests to pages such as Alleh. Yes, there is a bug in AWB whereby it suggests that you label a geographic dab page as a stub and orphan, but both these are wrong and all your edits are your responsibility. Do not make any edits, with or without AWB, unless you have checked that they are correct. == AWB up to date? ==

I was told many months ago that AWB's inability to recognise geodis as a disambiguation page template (hence its habit of suggesting Stub and Orphan tags while also changing it to "Placename disambiguation page") had been fixed in a forthcoming update to AWB. But I now see that the latest version of AWB, 6.1.0.1, was released on 16 September 2019.

Are you using the current version?

If so, then this is still an ongoing problem with AWB and I will raise it at Phabricator again (though it is still your responsibility to check all your edits and avoid doing incorrect edits just because AWB suggests them - see rule 1 at WP:AWBRULES

If not, then please update AWB now, before using it again.

Thanks, <span style="color: green">Pam</span><span style="color: brown">D</span> 07:39, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
::Yes, I'm using the latest version. I just wrote a regex script that I've added to the skip settings that looks for "disambiguation" or "may refer to" or "refer to" as pages to skip when processing. Lets see if it works. They really need to update AWB. -BigDwiki talk 21:47, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
:::Well, that didn't work. I added the "geodis" string to the regex script, lets see if that works. -BigDwiki talk 22:15, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
:::Still a problem: see Oconto. Do you look at the edits AWB suggests? Remember AWB rule 1, please. <span style="color: green">Pam</span><span style="color: brown">D</span> 17:36, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
::::The problem is AWB doesn't show the entire page, it just shows the area that needs correction. There is no wait to know that it's a disambig without looking at the entire page. I added the "geodis" as a regex skip rule, and it appears to not be working. I don't know if there is any fix for this as there is no standard text on disambig pages that could be programmed to skip. For example, some pages say "may refer to", but this one says "There are a few places named Oconto in the United States". There's nothing standard to program a skip rule with. And looking at the AWB screen dowsn't show the entire screen so I didn't even see the "geodis" manually. Perhaps this needs to be raised with AWB as it's concerning and seemingly other users are having the same issue. -BigDwiki talk 17:55, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
:::::No, it's you that has an issue. You are making wrong edits because AWB suggests them. Stop and check your edits as you go: you are an editor, not an approved bot. Or, as a work-round: set up the Gadget in Preferences which colours links to disambiguation pages orange. Scan your contributions list after a run of these bot-like AWB edits, look for orange, check and revert. Do it regularly to reduce the chance of wasting the time of stub-sorters. Please. I've just fixed several more. <span style="color: green">Pam</span><span style="color: brown">D</span> 18:07, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
::::::Find the orange-colouring gadget in "Preferences", "Gadgets", and then near the bottom of the list under "Appearance". Very useful way to avoid accidentally linking to dab pages in articles, and also highlights these mistakes in your bulk runs of stub-and-orphan addition. In this edit, "off-road" was not appropriate. "Off road" was a reasonable short wording, but I've changed it to "off the road" to avoid it being "corrected" carelessly again. Please remember to look at all the edits AWB suggests, to make sure that they are right. They are your responsibility. ::You're spending just a few seconds on each edit, making multiple edits per minute. You are not paying close enough attention or you don't understand what you are doing. For example above, the definition you linked to does not match that usage. I've just corrected two other errors you made here and here. == Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariff System ==

Despite previous warnings you still seem to be adding incorrect tags to articles. Please stop doing so. There is nothing in this article that should be linked but is not, so it should not have an underlinked template. Phil Bridger (talk) 21:56, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
:And I see that you have done the same at United Kingdom Haemophilia Centre Doctors' Organisation. You are responsible for all edits that you make, including those suggested by automatic tools. It seems that User:PamD is right that you are not capable of using AWB responsibly. Phil Bridger (talk) 22:12, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
::Phil, this is the first time anyone has said anything about incorrect tags outside of disambiguation pages. The only complaint I have had was about disambiguation pages which is a well-known and longstanding bug that multiple people have tried to get fixed. I wrote a skip rule in AWB to try to mitigate this and after many attempts, I think I have it. What you are talking about is a totally new issue to me. -BigDwiki talk 22:16, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
:::Sorry, but the issue of whether you should blindingly perform edits suggested by an automatic tool is not new to anyone. If you are incapable of using your own judgement about the edits that you make then you should not be using such tools. Phil Bridger (talk) 22:20, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
::::Also, can you elaborate on why you think the tags should not be added to the article? AWB suggested them and they appear to be valid. Also, I found several links that could have been easily added and added them. It appears that per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking, the articles are indeed underlinked:
::::An article is said to be underlinked if words are not linked and are needed to aid understanding of the article. In general, links should be created for:
*Relevant connections to the subject of another article that will help readers understand the article more fully (see the example below). This can include people, events, and topics that already have an article or that clearly deserve one, so long as the link is relevant to the article in question.
*Articles with relevant information, for example: "see Fourier series for relevant background"
*Articles explaining words of technical terms, jargon or slang expressions/phrases—but you could also provide a concise definition instead of or in addition to a link. If there is no appropriate Wikipedia article, an interwikimedia link to Wiktionary could be used.
*Proper names that are likely to be unfamiliar to readers

-BigDwiki talk 22:22, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

::::Please stick to the issue of tagging instead of personal attacks. Accusing me of being "incapable" of using a tool is borderline attacking. If your position is that the tags should not be added and you have come here to make that known, please defend that position instead of side-attacking my use of AWB. At heart here is a simple dispute of whether tags are proper or not. I would have added those tags with or without AWB and you have not cited any policy which states that they should not have been added. -BigDwiki talk 22:25, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
:::::"Government agency" and "Poland" are useless links that don't meet any of those criteria. Just stop using AWB until you understand what you are doing, or else you will be made to stop. Phil Bridger (talk) 22:28, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
::::::I absolutely disagree that they are useless links and it is my position that they add value to the article. Just stop making false accusations otherwise you may be made to stop.-BigDwiki talk 22:31, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
:::::::Poland is specifically excluded from linking by MOS:OVERLINK, as a major geographical entity. Government agency is at best marginal: it is pretty much a pair of "Everyday words understood by most readers in context." and linking to the target article isn't going to enhance anyone's reading of the article on Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariff System. As it says in that MOS page: "Ask yourself, "How likely is it that the reader will also want to read that other article?" " (MOS:BUILD, higher up that MOS page).
