Newcastle United Reserves play in the Barclays Premiership Reserve League North. They also participate in the Northumberland Senior Cup each season.
The current Reserve team manager is Lee Clark, who was appointed earlier this season. Newcastle Reserves play their home games at Kingston Park, the home ground of Newcastle Falcons. In previous seasons the team has also played at Gateshead Stadium, the home of Gateshead F.C.. It is thought that for the 2007-08 season that they will be on the move once again although no location has be confirmed. Newcastle manager, Sam Allardyce, has indicated that reserve matches may be played at St James' Park.
It has now been confirmed that Kingston Park and St James' Park will host this season's home games.
