==Re==
No problem. It equally gets me when (extremely) controversial pieces of information often go uncited. I happen to be from the former [[Armenian SSR]] and so have all volumes of the Soviet Encyclopedia which prove to be useful references when it comes to finding information about specific divisions (namely Armenians however). The figure on the German side, especially the aircraft, seems far too high so I can take a look in the article on the battle of Berlin in my volumes and see if they even correspond to whoever came up with those numbers.--[[User:MarshallBagramyan|MarshallBagramyan]] 19:26, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Revision as of 19:27, 9 December 2006

My name is Andries Krugers Dagneaux. I am from the Netherlands. Interests are cult/cults, Hinduism, science (esp. physics), electronics (component level), chess. I am an avid but not the most accurate reader and I have to admit that my edits in Wikipedia have unfortunately occasionally reflected my reading habits.

My contributions to Sathya Sai Baba led to a Wikipedia:arbitration in which I am one of the two adverseries. See Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration/Sathya_Sai_Baba. I am affiliated with the website of Dutch concerned former followers of Sathya Sai Baba

Non-English language sources

Strictly confing ourselves to English language sources in the English Wikipedia cripples it. Using only Dutch if this negatively affects the quality of a work has never been acceptable in the scientific and scholarly traditions of the Netherlands. I volunteer to check references in German and Dutch languages upon request. Please join the Wikipedia:non-English languages reference check committee.

Trustworthy editors

I consider the follower contributors good editors whom I trust, though this does not mean that I agree with all their edits. (There are many other good editors at Wikipedia.)

Re-reading sources

In my experience, it takes a lot of effort to write a good article. Sometimes I think I can rely on my memory of books that I read a while ago but later I find out then some inaccuracies have slipped in. So I really have to re-study the subject to write a good article.

I do not believe that Wikipedia:dispute resolution will be able to handle the great number of disputes. On a busy day I file three serious requests for comments. Still, I think that is good to follow the dispute resolution process even if this leads to the conclusion that it does not work. Then something should change.

Keeping Wikipedia maintainable is one of my concerns

Feel free to expand my essay User:Andries/Wikipedia:maintainability

Definitions

I do not like concepts for which no clear definitions can be given, like Fundamentalism, New Age and Anti-Cult Movement. I doubt whether they have any added value.
